Great shelves
I have bought several of these shelves. They are so easy to assemble. They’re lightweight enough to be able to move around, but sturdy enough to hold a lot of weight. I use them in the laundry room, garage and workshop. Great size and great value for the money

Great easy to assemble
Wow, great sturdy shelving unit and easy to assemble. I like the space gaps between the shelves. I can easily fit a box of cereal between. Stacking cans is a breeze and keeps glasswares easy to reach. Wished it was a five tiered. Space is limited.

Simple, sturdy, & gets the job done at a good price
I recently ordered a set of three of these to help organize a VERY disorganized attic space, and I'm quite happy with my purchase. (I'm also happy with customer service. More on that below.)These are plastic shelves that pop together without tools in just a few minutes (though it's helpful to lightly hammer in each leg with a mallet). Boom, boom, boom, and you're done, Once assembled, they are pretty lightweight and easy to move around. Putting together three of these was a 15-minute job, if that. The units have four shelves that are relatively deep, deep enough for anything from coffee table books to mid-sized storage boxes, lamps, and more. They are NOT made to carry heavy loads, so keep that in mind when you're making the purchase -- the bottom shelf is fine for heavy stuff, but not the others -- but they're fine for other household goods. Board game collections, boxes of seasonal items, DVD/blu-ray collections, toys, sports equipment, pantry items, clothing and linens, and all sorts of other stuff.Considering these are deep gray plastic, they don't look all that bad, either. You're not going to want them in your living room, sure, but they don't have a drab "industrial" look, either. They'd be just fine in a walk-in closet, for example. As noted, assembly was easy. A few reviewers have noted that they don't always line up exactly perfect with each other, and that's accurate. There may be slight differences in shelf height from one unit to the next. With mine those differences were minimal (under 1/2") and I didn't mind at all. Your mileage may vary. One of my units was missing a set of four legs when it arrived. I sent a note to the email listed on the packaging and got a response back within the hour telling me a replacement set was being mailed. They arrived a few days later, as promised. Dealing with customer services was that easy.So overall, I'm quite happy with this purchase. They are not heavy-duty and therefore aren't ideal for a shop and/or heavy tools, gear, etc., but for home use and organization you can't beat the price. Heck, I'm probably going to get a few more once these are full. Recommended.

Perfection achieved with Sterilite 4-tier shelf.
Perfection with Sterilite 4-tier shelf. Well worth the purchase. Best use of indoor real estate and I love that it is customizable into separates, 2s, or 3 and 1.Third time buying. Lightweight but sturdy and fits the décor. This time around, one is a bookshelf in progress and the other is being used for storage.

Good product (though I liked the discounted price of $25 last year better than $36 now)
I've been ordering these Sterilites for about 15 years (and about a dozen units total by now), so I obviously like the product.I usually don't think of "plastic" and "sturdy" at the same time, but these are both -- think of plastic milk or beer crates, but even more rugged. Never had any defective parts, and never had any breakage or "lean" in use, despite some kids old enough to know better (11-12) climbing up onto them. I currently have one to each side of my bed -- one that I assembled only three shelves tall (freestanding), with the extra parts letting me make the other unit five shelves tall (against a wall, so harder to topple). Both are surprisingly stable, even without securing to the wall using screws through the pre-drilled holes. Or you could drill new screw holes wherever the studs are located in your wall.I wish I could buy some shorter legs so that I could reduce the vertical space between some shelves (or just extra standard-length ones that I could saw to whatever length I wanted), but I suspect that even if Sterilite sold them direct, it would probably be cheaper to just order extra full sets from Amazon at Amazon pricing.Because of the higher price now (though still cheaper than Lowes and Home Depot, the last time I checked), I'm planning to try out a different type that is currently discounted more. I was initially interested in the similar plastic ones from Gracious Living, Plano and Officesaleman, but despite looking the same in the pics (and being in the $20-30 range), they're all smaller than this one. So I'm probably going to give Furinno a try -- very different structure (beech-laminate particleboard shelves and round PVC tubes) and maybe sorta classier-looking, but smaller and with lower shelf strength. I'll review them if I decide to order a set.The 5-shelf Sterilite sets are also very good, but realize that they're larger and even sturdier than this set (3x as much weight capacity per shelf), so you can't mix-and-match the two types. They're also currently about $20 more expensive. Those shelves also differ in being "corrugated" (like plastic crates), which is fine for boxes and large items, but small items like coins would fall through the holes (unlike these 4-shelf ones, which have a continuous pebble-texture top surface). There is also a same-size plastic unit by Sandusky that's about $10 cheaper than the 5-shelf Sterilite, but the structure is different (round tubes instead of square, among other things). All of the units mentioned here were rated a minimum of 4 stars, so you'll probably be satisfied with whatever you pick. Better than the similarly-priced metal ones that I've tried (IF adjustability isn't a priority, at least).Last note: Sterilite has offered these 4-shelf units in multiple colors over the years and all that I've tried have been identical except for color (though sometimes wildly different in price). I just bought whichever color was cheapest at the time.
