RubiesBatman The Dark Knight Joker Deluxe Costume

Great
The costume itself is great, the mask is terrible. The price is just right. Buy yourself another wig and some face paint and you’re all set.

Proper costume for reasonable price
It’s not the best quality but for the price it’s quite ok; except for the mask, which I didn’t use in the end (bought $ 3 make up set and painted my face instead). As to the size: I’m 5‘11‘‘ and the X-large was probably a bit too big but for this particular costume that’s not a problem since the original costume is also a little baggy. I would still recommend the standard/large for my size.

WHAT A F'N JOKE!!!! NOT EVEN WORTH $20.00
It amazes me that so many companies can advertise products that look NOTHING like what you receive. This has to be the cheapest looking POS I have ever seen. The mask is a half mask with no back. It is so contorted, it can not be fixed to fit properly on my face. Not like I'd use it anyways because it looks nothing like the photo. Crappy paint job and is over sized. The pants do NOT lay the way the model shows. They are a near see thru material with a small elastic waist band. They look like PJ bottoms. The top ensemble is the biggest mess. It's all one piece and made of the thinnest, cheapest material they could find. The jacket lapels don't even go around the back of the neck. Oh yeah the back. There's a 6" slip up by the neck and a 1/4" piece of velcro to keep the neck secured. So unless you're wearing a purple t-shirt you'll be showing a good 5" of open back or whatever color t-shirt you have on underneathe. The vest has fabric straps that one must simply tie in a knot around the back. But be careful, tieing the knot too tight will probably rip this cheap material. Do yoursef a favor; if you value quality costumes, STAY AWAY form Rubies. Last year I purchased the Bane costume and it to was a POS. Rubies also never seems to reply back to pissed off costomers. Email after email and no responses. I will NEVER purchase a costume from them again. And one more thing. Don't believ any of the positive reviews. Clearly those people all work for Rubies or have no clue what a good costume should look and fit like. Extremely disappointed yet again with Rubies Costumes. Amazon should distance themselves from the POS seller.

Great....except the mask
The mask was very cheap and didn't fit well at all. The pants were large and comfortable the top was comfortable but one solid piece and you'll need to wear something underneath to complete the right look. It did the trick, but if I ordered early enough I'd have returned it and looked for another option.

Don't expect a replica of the movie outfit. Or good quality!
I live in Japan, and as Halloween isn't very popular here it's quite hard to find (even cheap low quality) costumes. Thank you Amazon. They delivered it quickly and with a very reasonable postage charge. Excellent service.Calling this Deluxe is totally misleading on Rubies' behalf, there is nothing Deluxe about it. It is essentially a kid's play costume up scaled to adult sizes. The material is cheap, extremely thin polyester, with foam backed panels for the jacket collar, pockets and vest. The all in one vest/shirt/tie panel is attached to the jacket and doesn't sit very well. The pants are loose pyjama style, elastic at the waist, without pockets or any other detail. And the mask is a joke, a piece of rubber that will have you sweating in moments if your wear it.The fit was fine, I'm 6 foot and a husky gentleman, and the XL is OK. It's pretty loose and fits more like a novelty set of pyjamas than an actual suit. But, for only $30 - $40, it isn't a total waist of time (the SAME costume retails in Japan for over $120) It's a costume after all. It's not meant to be an authentic movie replica. If you want quality, you will have to pay for it.Out of the bag, if you take the time to iron out the creases (use a dishcloth as cover so the polyester doesn't melt) and apply a bit of make up (forget the horrible mask) it looks passable. I made a bit more of an effort. I cut out the all in one vest/shirt/tie panel, lost the shirt and tie section and redesigned the vest to fit over a regular shirt and tie using elastic straps. With some cheap pieces of felt material and a hot glue gun, I managed to make the jacket and vest a bit more individual and it is a lot better looking for my minimal efforts.I'm not really a Batman fan and I'm going for the authentic Heath Ledger look either. I'm going for the "Oh, you're the joker" reaction at parties, and for $40 I don't really expect anything more. I'll probably only ever wear it once anyway.

Good enough for a last minute costume.
If you're looking for a last minute costume this will do just fine. Isn't all that great material but it's good enough. Pants were like pajamas which in a way is a good thing for an after Halloween use. The top part is all connected together and was really wrinkled so you'd have to figure out a way to unwrinkle it. I myself was scared to use an iron for it. So you gotta work with what you got. Overall it was a good first costume experience.
