I wish I would have found this years ago! It is a solid one piece scoop. It seems like it is very sturdy. It has a good heavy weight to it. I believe I may never need to buy another ice cream scoop again as I don’t see this breaking with normal use. I love that I can dip hard ice cream as soon as it comes out of the freezer without the need to wait for it to thaw a little first. I can’t comment on rust resistance at this time as I just got it, but it is dishwasher safe.

Great ice cream scooper. My household eats lots of ice cream so this kitchen tool is a must in our household. It slides through ice cream with ease as the surface is smooth and rolls the ice cream in balls to serve. This scooper is on the heavier side so it may not be for you if you prefer lighter scooper to handle. We love the ice cream handle tool that makes it easier to open ice cream lids saving your nails from having to pry open the ice cream covers. Those with longer manicured nails would appreciate this function.

Even though my kitchen is in blue hues, I love purple and because this hangs out in the drawer and isn't a decorative kitchen item, any color works so I went for my fave purple
