very impressive tool/knife.
I was looking for something new to use at work and found Slice ceramic knives and cutting tools. this particular tool is very sturdy feeling, and has adjustable cutting angles and optional blade types available. It comes with rounded style blade, but i also ordered the pointed tip blades, and it is able to cut through literally everything I have used it on while at work. I was pleasantly surprised at how much curiosity it received from everyone I work with, including maintenance techs, engineers, management, all of whom are as impressed as I am. The blades themselves are obviously ceramic and so far are sharp, taken a beating and hold up exactly the way id hoped. the only that id changed if I had designed the actual handle portion of the tools is to add or utilize a non slip texture to the grip (or add that as an optional model) in case of using around shop oils or other slippery substances. otherwise this is an awesome tool id absolutely recommend to anyone who needs a rugged, sturdy, and sharp cutting tool for work, home, or whatever.

Great product, kinda pricey.
Slice makes great, well engineered products. The fit, finish, and action of this knife is of great quality. The action is a little stiff, but that doesn't bother me, it is another level of built in intrinsic safety. Close to $40 for a folding utility knife is expensive in my mind, but the ceramic blade glides through packaging materials with ease. The replacement blades are expensive too, but are supposed to last longer than steel blades. I bought this as an edc option, but found it a little heavy, and the way the clip is designed, it sits a little too far out of pocket for me. I will still use this around the house plenty though.

So close, almost perfect! Still a homerun! 4.5 stars!
This thing is amazing and cuts through boxes safely with ease. The assisted opening mechanism feels smooth like a Kershaw, and the knife as a whole feels durable and sleek as a Smith & Wesson. I love showing it off to friends and everyone is always wowed by how easily it cuts through boxes, packaging tape, and wrappers like butter! It does fall short in a couple categories. I purchased both the folding utility knife (10562) and this EDC one (10495) and I have been having a hard time deciding which one I prefer as both have their pros and cons. For this EDC one, one pro is how stealthy small it is and how it can fit in your pocket with ease, but I do wish it just a tad bit bigger (just not as big as the utility knife). I have big hands and sometimes this edc knife feels a bit small and easy to lose. One the flip side, the utility folding knife feels a bit too large and heavy. Both feel very robust and quality materials were definitely used which is why the decision is hard to make.Another con for the edc version is the lanyard hole being just a tad bit too big for a keychain. Every keychain ring I thread through ends up being permanently stretched and damaged due to the large width on the opening. This could be fixed by adding a small belt clip to the next version of this knife. The down side to the belt clip on the utility knife is that it leaves too much of the upper knife exposed, the orange loop is above the belt clip and feels uncomfortable and not properly secured in my pocket.Another big downside the folding utility knife is the lack of the capability for assisted opening with one hand. It requires two hands to open. I do appreciate having the option to lock in two different positions but it is not ideal to have to use both hands to open. The EDC versions best feature is likely the smooth assisted opening ability as it glides open every time with ease while only using one hand.I think the products by Slice are top of the line and very intuitive. They cut extremely well and are worth the extra money. I hope their company is able to come out with a medium sized version of these folding knives (similar to Gerber Armbar or Kershaw Scallion) equipped with a mini deep carry belt clip (move clip to opposite side of the orange ring) and one-handed assisted opening capability with a middle-sized blade (slightly larger than the edc). A plus would be for it to have two lockable positions but lock on the way down rather than on the way up — in order to allow the one-handed fully opening capabilities. All in all, both versions are great, with a few tweaks and/or a new version they can hit a home run. But depending on your intended use, hopefully you’re able to decide which version of their current models you prefer.

My favorite Slice product!
I love this knife. It's so sturdy and has a great tactile feel when using it. It locks in two positions and is designed for an extremely effective and comfortable grip. I don't know why other companies haven't thought of the grip hole for their utility knives. I never have to worry that my hand will slip when cutting through more challenging materials. The belt clip is also handy and keeps the knife within reach. The double ended blade is incredibly easy to replace with the simple press of a button. The metallic orange and matte black are a great color combo and makes it easy to find if it's ever off my belt for any reason. Absolutely love this product and would recommend it for anyone needing a safe, functional, and damn fine looking utility knife.
