These lamps have the perfect size and brightness and can be used on the stairs leading to the basement. We put them on a few lower steps and they work well. They are hidden under the overlap of each step and provide the required brightness when you reach the bottom to avoid missing any steps or accidents. I have been dealing with mice for a long while now. Living in the country you just get used to the annoyance. I have used poisons in the past but that doesnt seem to stop them.... I have been using this product for a bit and so far so good. I have not seen any signs of the little critters since plugging in. They are really simple- just plug and go.
