WORK GREAT
We use this as our front anchor on a 1848 Lowe Big Jon. The boat is heavy so it catches a good bit of water and current. I can't say it catches immediately but it doesn't drag far either and once it bites it doesn't let go. We use it on a small river with moderate current and on the Mississippi 50 yards or so below the Melvin Price Lock and Dam, this is no joke when it comes to the amount off water coming through the gates. This anchor holds great. after several outings the anchor shows no signs of wear or damage. The collapsing function isn't the easiest thing to operate because it binds so we just leave it deployed. This is probably a good thing because we know it wont collapse in use. If I loose it for some reason I will definitely buy another, heck I might buy another to use as the rear anchor/back up. I will say to price shop, this listing was considerably less than others so there may be some even less

Yes, it works, and it works well.
Depending on where I go, I often need a stern anchor. The bow anchor has a contained locker on my boat, and is relatively small (only 8 pounds), and I use a larger anchor for the stern. None of the sizes will fit in the bow locker, so there was no point in trying to get a small one to fit.The 2:1 scope is generous. You can basically drop this thing straight down and it's not going anywhere. What I do is set the bow anchor with proper scope, and then walk the boat to the proper alignment with this anchor at no more at a 2:1 scope and drop it. Perfect alignment (don't be the only sideways boat) and it holds rock solid. In fact, when you pull it up, expect to clean more than a little mud and vegetation off of it.My only regret is that I can't have two of these, or at least not while using the very space-saving and convenient bow anchor locker.

Not worth saving $5
Very loose hinges, loose assembly pin and spring, nut has cotter pin holding it on the threads which will most definitely tear your hand open if not modified with pliers. Works though the extra slack in it helps during assembly and breakdown

Stable
This anchor is a good size and weight. It's heavy duty. Works well. Folds for easy storage.

Great Anchor!!
Our fluke anchor couldn’t hold our 25’ wake boat. We kept drifting and dragging on our mud-bottom lake. This box anchor was recommended to us by other boat owners and we’re so glad we bought it! The 19lb anchor does and amazing job. So happy with this purchase! Highly recommended!

Strong and made well
This anchor is very strong and sturdy. It held our 19” Larson boat in place on the river. I didn’t have to re-set our anchor all weekend. Very well made and easy to set up.

The only anchor worth buying
My boat came with two different style anchors when I bought it and they both wouldn’t stay put. Strong possibility it was user error on my end, anyways this thing rocks! Throw it in, get some angle and you’re done. My pontoon is basically a giant sail when it’s windy so I’ve put this anchor through its paces. I used it last month when beached to fight a cross wind and keep the rear of the boat put. Definitely won’t buy anything but a box anchor again.
