Great
Really easy to apply, just wide enough for 45mm joists with a bit of excess to fold over the edges, and stays put once it's on.The adhesive is annoying to remove if it gets onto anything, but this is only really an issue where boards are fixed down then removed (e.g. for final adjustments) which squeezes out the adhesive.

Good buy
This is good way of protecting the joints before you put the decking boards down. It was easy to order. Quick delivery. And good value

It does the job it's intended to do.

Poor adhesion, very expensive
These poorly adhere to the joists if they are even slightly damp. Very expensive for what it is and there are far cheaper ways of achieving the same result

Store in the fridge!
Really good tape which we have put on the timber underneath our new composite decking. Easy to use so long as you keep it cold! It rained as my husband was putting it on and the water just sat on top ..... really sticky and not too difficult to use. Recommend.

I don’t like leaving 1 star reviews, but in this case I have to. I’m a professional tradesmen. I need products that i can rely on. This sadly was unreliable. I bought this for final parts of a decking subframe that needed protecting. I had ran out of my main deck tape product (Walther Strong Deck tape) and thought I’d give this a go as there was a discount and it was better value for money for a last minute purchase than my main product. I’ve never used this product before but I like to give different products a try. The project got delayed and I was unable to use it straight away. I had stored it away correctly in the meantime. When I came to use it I had nothing else at hand. I was completely unable to remove the tape from the white backing paper. It was a mess. I felt like a character in a venom movie. It would not separate, therefore it was useless. This unfortunately cost me time and money. You cannot sell a product that is as unreliable as this. I immediately tried to return it but I was 2 days over the return cut off point, and had no way of contacting the seller either. Hence why I have left a negative review. I always try and get in touch with the seller first and settle things with them, rather than leave a negative review. I’ve read some reviews saying that some rolls have been faulty and have had the same problem. Even if the tape itself is good, it can’t be a hit miss thing as to whether you can actually take it off the roll or not. If you want to keeps things simple and easy and want a product that is forgiving, then use the Walther Strong Deck Tape Instead.[Edit on 13/09/21]changed from 1 star to 3 stars. I was contacted by the seller with a refund confirmation and a free roll from a different batch. They apologised for there being a bad batch and are resolved to get to bottom of the problem. I will try the new roll and leave another review.[Edit on 29/09/21] I will increase the rating to 4 stars due to very good customer service. I was sent out a new roll. The new roll seemed like an upgrade, with a new type of backing paper. Tried it on exterior timber frames that were to be covered up. I would say its best to work in lengths of about 1 metre at a time as it’s hard to control longer lengths due to its stickiness and flexibility. As it’s bitumen based it will adhere very well and be very difficult to remove. One thing I’ve realised is; keep the roll cool or in the shade. It becomes very hard to use if it’s hot. It’s much easier to handle cold. Ease of use is still the big downside of this product, but no doubt it will waterproof timber for a very long time.

Expensive, but the best tape I’ve purchased to date
The media could not be loaded. Most other tapes don’t self-seal, when you screw into them, this one does. Most other tapes are not sticky enough, to stick properly to the timber surface, this one does.

20 meters? Is that like cubits?
So, generally speaking, decks in American markets are built using the English system - that is, feet and inches, not meters and centimeters. So, in case anyone is wondering how much 20 meters is, it's about 65 feet, so 6 rolls of this tape = 390 feet. So when figuring your deck calculations, a box of this tape = 390 feet, and comes out to about .18 cents per linear foot. The quality of this joist tape is excellent. It's nice and thick and sticks very well. The rolls are a bit heavy, but that's just an indicator of how thick they really are. Of course, I can't say how this is going to do 5 years from now, but the quality looks excellent to me, and I know for a fact that joist tape on a deck's joists increases its life span dramatically because you prevent water from sitting between the layers, which is the REAL killer for wood. This is so easy to work with, you can have the kids applying this tape to the joist you just hung while you hang the next one. It gives them something to do and they get to help with a project, learning all the way.If you want to get the most out of your new deck...and who doesn't? Then joist tape is pretty essential. And at .18 cents a linear foot, this is a pretty good deal to add a half decade to your expensive deck or more. 5 stars.

Reliable Deck Protection
This joist tape is easy to apply and provides solid protection against rot. It sticks well and covers a good area. A worthwhile addition to prolong your deck's life.

Good quality product...
It seems like years past pressure treated lumber would last and hold up a lot better than todays treated lumber. Before I would not have used this product. But now I think it's a necessary item. This joist tape seems to be a very good quality product. It is nice and heavy. Covers the joist well. Time will tell how well it protects but the tape should help make the wood last much longer. I am glad to have this product.
