Did You Feed The Dog

"Did anyone feed the dog?" Hey, now I know. One person asked a question, "who needs this?" and if I was the only person feeding my dog it wouldn't be a problem. However, I've got 4 kids and it's their responsibility. Each morning we have to ask "who fed the dog? Did anyone feed the dog?" Usually it means asking each kid to verify the dog was fed and some days I worry he didn't get breakfast. Then at dinner it's the same thing. With this I can see if the dog had breakfast or dinner and if the kids ended up getting off to school without feeding the dog, I can see and make sure he gets breakfast. It also cuts down on my dog's developing hobbit eating style. With 4 kids he often gets 4 breakfasts. Now everyone can see if he has been fed already. We have 2 plastic dry storage containers for the dog food. We like to keep a couple of flavors on hand and mix it with some different flavors of wet food so there is variety. This sticks perfectly to the side of the storage container, which is right beside the food bowl. Everything is easy to use and see. The toggles click into position in a really solid and satisfying way so it doesn't accidentally get toggled one way or the other, but it doesn't take a lot of force. That means you don't risk knocking it off the sticky pad by pressing too hard. All in all it solves a real problem we've had and does it in a very intuitive way. Great product!

I love this product. It came with magnets attached to the back and double sided tape for other surfaces. We stuck ours to the fridge. Unfortunately, the magnets are not strong enough to hold the sign and it slides down the fridge. I put another stronger magnet under it to hold it up and it works just fine. That is my only complaint. Otherwise it works just fine! My cats are overweight and on a diet. We were constantly asking everyone in the family if they were fed this morning or this evening. The cats were constantly whining at us every time we walked near their food bowl. Now, we check the sign. From the cats: This is a terrible product. I cannot get my human to feed me more than twice a day now! My accomplice and I demonstrate how famished we believe we are on a regular basis and all they do is look at the sign and tell us no! Darn humans have outwitted us this time!

My wife and I are constantly asking each other if we fed the dog already. We could ask the dog, but he would lie and say no and trick us into another bowl full of food. I saw this device on Amazon and decided to buy it. It's already been fantastic and we've only been using it for about 5 days. It has a nice magnet that sticks and holds to our stainless refrigerator. It does stick to the sides of the fridge too, but it's not as strong there and it does slide. It holds in place when we're sliding the daily AM/PM toggles. The toggles slide nicely. They don't lock into place but usually hold pretty steady. Sometimes they do glide with a little too much ease, meaning you could accidentally move one out of position, but that hasn't proven to be a concern. Overall, it was cheap enough, it's useful, and as long as you're using it, it will be one less thing you have to worry about. Special note: don't let your dog learn how to manipulate the toggles or they could try to play the "Hey I haven't been fed yet!" card

This is a decent product which does what it says it will, I’d recommend this to friends. (Already have in fact.) Four stars, just one off for some construction observations, but not dealbreakers. I’ve had this about a month now. Pros: - Easy way to track if cat has been fed, obviously. Previously between us three roommates we wrote on a white board which was a bit of a hassle. Over feeding can lead to health problems and behavioral issues from the lack of routine and consistency. - Looks clean and professional. A lot nicer to look at than a white board that’s been erased and scribbled on over and over. - Easy to set and reset, just flick a toggle to indicate being fed. At the end of the week you can flick them all back at once instead of individually. - Toggles are solidly in place and don’t slide around, but they’re also not too hard to move. You could put this sideways and the toggles would still stay set. For someone with less hand strength that might be an issue, but I feel like a spritz of WD-40 will adjust it to your liking. - Reasonably cleanable, smooth plastic so it can be sanitized and wiped off if it gets gunk from fingers. - Came with magnets and 3M mounting strips so I had a choice of using the fridge or the wall. - Magnets work well, my fridge doors see a lot of abuse and it’s solidly in place. Cons: - Cheaper construction than I expected. It’s still sturdy, just very light, and clearly hollow plastic. Could be a bonus if this reduces the weight of it being mounted on your fridge or wall, I suppose. Just don’t try to step on it. - No clear way to take it apart, can be difficult to clean the crevices. All in all an A grade though. Here’s to being the bad guy when your pet is trying to play innocent about being fed already.

I got the pill reminder one. I seen other's comments not to happy with it. I stuck it on my fridge and it didn't slide down. But I wanted it for the outside of my cabinet where I keep my medicine. I put the sticky things on it but it wasn't thick enough to hold so I added onto of the sticky tape double sided nano tape and that helped. I think it was the magnets and I did want to remove those. I really like it. It's in perfect view so I can see if I took my medications or not. I highly recommend it for any age and for those who have to take medication daily. It's well worth it.

This helps me and my husband know which one of has fed the dog, because our dog acts hungry no matter what! We have been using this for a couple years, and it continues to work well!

Great and effective but fell apart easily. Looks great and very versatile but weak magnets.

We use this as a feeding reminder instead of medication, but either way it's very handy so our dog doesn't get overfed.

I ordered this so my partner and I could track if the cat was fed if either of us weren't home to ask, it makes feeding very simple, and helps so much with their behaviour overall. Its simple, it's effective.

Sadly the cat has managed to figure out how to slide the buttons over so it indicates he hasn't been fed in the morning and is now being fed by both my wife and I. It became apparent something was awry when he put on so much weight he couldn't fit through the cat flap anymore.

The product is perfect for my needs. The only thing that lets it down slightly is that it isnt very good for putting on the wall as it has sticky tags which lose its grip. It would be perfect if it used an alternative wall fixture. Other than that it is spot on and an amazing product. The delivery was quick too.
