I’m a fan of this fan.
Replaced an existing ceiling fan with poor light with this one. Nice upgrade. Pros: —The three blades look cool — The three blades are wide and put out as much breeze as five-bladed fans, if not more. —The remote is easy to use —The remote has a cradle that you can mount over your wall light switch so you can just use the remote as a wall switch for both light and fan if you prefer. —The light DOES dim. Just hold down the light button. —Puts out good light; comes with two LED light bulbs (standard base) that can be replaced. Puts out warm light (not that industrial white light) but you can change the bulbs to whatever light color you prefer. —Quiet fan —The white fan comes with reversible blades, white or light wood; blends in nice with white ceiling so is not intrusive in smaller room. Cons: —When installing without a down rod, it’s a pretty tight work space getting the wires and remote receiver in place. —Fan blade installation is simple but a second pair of hands would make it easier. —Looks fine in kids/guest bedroom or kitchen but light fixture is practical not fancy so may not be ideal for a fancier living room or bedroom where decor really matters.

Great fan minor gripes
I bought this fan for my living room and have been fairly impressed with its quality functionality and style. I have had some small issues. For the first month but I had it installed the light would randomly dim and then come back up about every 15 minutes. Since then I have not had that issue I'm not sure if it was a controller issue or receiver issue or my light bulbs. The second issue I have is the remote is ugly! It's brown and doesn't match anything on the fan I really wish they would have made this remote black. Third issue is the glass cover for the lights, due to the color of the glass it changes the color of any light that you put in there. I would say the best description is that it just dulls the light. I'm a fan of the 4K lights (daylight) and it seems to bring that value down. Now the good stuff is it's extremely quiet, you can program universal remotes with it or wall-mounted controls, one of the few fans that has a grayish blade, very modern not without being over the top, right out of the box the fan seem to be balanced well, construction seems to be top notch, you can program more than one remote, blades are reversible. Overall I would give this fan a 9 out of 10. And as a side note my biggest gripe is just the price point I feel like this fan should be in the $140 to $150.

Things you need to know
I have model # 59210; I did self installation; it is a remote control only model and the remote that came with it did not work; the remote when working properly has a blue light that comes on when a button is pushed. My remote blue light did not come on even after checking proper installation of the battery. I was able to use my other Hunter remote from the bedroom and make it work. Now I need to get another Hunter remote for my bedroom. I have ordered from Amazon another Hunter Remote and hopefully it will working. Pairing my bedroom remote to the new living room fan was easy per the instructions in the manual. Second, the blade installation instructions and drawings on Page 7 is incorrect, I normally do not follow instructions but this time did exactly as shown in manual and then had to reinstall the blades properly using common sense. The blades mount below the iron brackets and the nuts go through the wood blades, not the iron brackets. Page 8 has a correct drawing showing the blades installed properly. The canopy was difficult to install for one man job. All systems working properly and looks good.

Easy Installation, Quiet and Good Fan
When we purchased our house 16 years ago we bought and installed a Hunter fan with a light in our bedroom. This was a great fan that was quiet and worked really well for us for 16 years until last week when I went to turn on the fan and the pull chain snapped off. We discovered the entire fan would need to be taken apart to fix a 15 cent chain. We decided to upgrade to a more modern style Hunter fan with a remote. I was a little nervous about the installation, but this fan went up in less than 20 minutes. There was one washer and bolt that attach the fan to the electrical box missing from the box, but we just used the hardware from the old Hunter fan. If we were putting up a brand new fan, this would have been more of a problem. We also noticed that Hunter really does assume that homeowners have a lot of tools laying around. We have been homeowners for many years, so our tool collection is fairly extensive, but a new homeowner might find themselves without a necessary tool. The fan is very modern and updated our bedroom nicely. Like our previous Hunter fan it is super quiet and gives us a very nice breeze. We used the bulbs that came in the box and the light is plenty bright. We love having the remote control and I will be ordering an additional remote from Hunter.

Works great...eventually
Recently purchased and had installed the 52" brushed nickel Hunter fan and light. I also purchased the extension rod as it was to be mounted in the kitvchen on a slanted ceiling. The brushed nickel looks great with the stainless steel appliances. The fan blades comes with one side brown and the other side grey. Again the grey is a nice accent in the kitchen. The fan has three speeds and all speeds perform well. Now to the light. The light and fan operate off of a remote control. The light is dimable, with two 9 watt LED bulbs (60 watt equivalent). The light it gives off is adequat at the highest level. If you remove the light cover, you will see a label that states that the fixture will accomadate up to two 14 watt LED bulbs. I purchased two 12.2 watt Philips LED (75 watt equivalent) bulbs and installed them. The results were much more to my liking. Now to the problem. After the electrician had installed the light, I found that every 5 to 15 minutes the light would shut off and come back on, all in a split second. Pretty annoying. I contacted Hunter customer service through email ( the phone wait goes on for ever - they answered my email in about 5 hours). They told me to deactivate the remote and then to activate it. The process for both is the same. First turn the light off using your remote, for 5 seconds, and then turn it back on. Then press and hold the fan button, while still holding the fan button, quickly press the light button 2 times. The dimming feature is now deactivated. You then follow the same process to reactivate the remote. The intermittent off and on of the light should now be fixed. I could not believe it, but it worked for me. I now have a beautiful fan with a light with a dimmable feature, that looks great in the kitchen. Hope to alleviate cooking woes on those uncomfortable summer days.

NO remote reverse for the direction of the fan.
It is important to know that this fan can only reverse directions for summer/winter by flipping a switch that is inside the light compartment so if you fan is mounted on a high ceiling, one needs a 20ft ladder each season to reverse the direction! There is no remote control!!!!! AND worse, one cannot get straight information from the manufacturer. One technician said to look in the manual on page __ and the instructions for remote control was there. Upon looking at the page, in big letters it states that one cannot reverse the blades by remote control! A loss and too late to return it! And it is too small, it looks dinky and cheap on a high ceiling in a big room.

QUIET, sleek eclectic look.
After placing this order, I wondered if I should have gone with a 5-blade fan but, after research, evidence shows there is more stress on a 5 blade and more likely to be off-balance. Our contractor agreed. Replacing our old fan took him 20 minutes. It truly runs like a smoothly engineered piece if work. The blades have option to flip from a weathered grey to a solid, darker grey. The beachy, weathered grey goes well in our .surroundings. And the brushed nickel has a clean, modern look. The light is not something we will routinely use but is nice to have. The cover allows light without seeing the bulbs. It's nice not having pull chains hanging down. The remote is simple, functional and can be mounted on the wall. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Initially purchased a fan/light from a local specialty fan/light store for twice the cost but returned it for this one.

Be careful installing it.
1. The slots for the screws in the mounting bracket do not go inward far enough to allow you to run the long wood screws they provide straight up through the inside of the ceiling fan mounting box and in to the wood reinforcement plate it should be attached to. I was forced to put them in on an angle. I've installed several fans with this type of mounting bracket and they all had longer slots so you could get the long wood screws inside the box. There are holes in the metal mounting boxes just for this so you can go right through the box in to the wood reinforcement plate it is mounted to. 2. The metal housing that the glass light cover attaches to was put together wrong at the factory and it looked like the glass was going to fall off when I put it on because it was only held by 2 of the 3 screws. They stripped out a screw hole and just left it there and the assembly that the light cover twists on to was sitting on top of the screw. I had to take it apart to get the screw out and find a larger screw and force it in. 3. Once I fixed that the light cover would no longer twist on easily. I've seen other complaints about this. It's an easy fix. Take your thumbs and pull down on each of the 3 tabs that the light cover twists on to. This will tweak the frame a little and bring the tabs down far enough to get the glass cover on smoothly again. When they ram the screws in at the factory it tweaks the light cover mounting frame and pushes the tabs out of alignment. Once I fixed that the light cover twisted on easily. 4. The light flickers when turning it on and off. I've seen this before on other fans that have the fade on/off feature for the light and eventually the lights won't come on at all. After waiting weeks for a replacement part on that other fan I got tired of no light in the room so I cut the little fader circuit out and bypassed it. There is a little circuit in that bundle of wires you have to attach the connector to for the light. Find the two wires coming in for the light power and cut the circuit and connectors out and use wire nuts to connect the wires directly to the light. It's a nice looking fan but it was a real pain to install because of the messed up mounting bracket, the bad assembly at the factory, and I'm 100% certain the light fading circuit will burn out in a month because it's doing the same thing the others I've had did just before they burned out. It's not very bright at all with the included bulbs. I put higher lumen LED bulbs in and it was better but they flickered a lot more than the ones that came with it when you first turn it on. I didn't use the included remote. I'm using a smart fan controller. Search Amazon for B08PD39NLF. It's made by Esmlfe but works perfectly with the Gosund app. and probably any smart control app you may be using.
