Both sides to the uncertain consumer
I never write these but I read over lots of mixed reviews about this product and not upon using them myself I think I can shed light to potential buyers. A light that is hard to find between so many "love them" "hate them" reviews. First let me say I have had no problems with them at all. My daughter has plaguocephaly meaning she always slept with her head turned to one side and being a first time mom I didn't notice and issue until one of her ears started to stick out on the side she slept on from being folded. Like alot more... so i bought these despite bad reviews to at least try. I believe this is a great product intended to do what it says, i also believe it is not for every baby. I clean the area with an alcohol prep pad and let dry and it stays 7 days before I remove it. By the 7 days it is not hard to take off with a q tip and coconut oil. She doesn't seem to notice when it's on or when I remove it. However I was nervous the first time that shed hate it grab her ears and be uncomfortable as I'm sure some babies would. It depends on the baby. IF this had happened it's TRUE it would be very very hard to remove right after application and most likely make the baby upset. I think it's one if those things you have to take the risk and try if it's that important to you but i dont think that it has anything to do with a product flaw, it's just for some and not others. That being said it's been 3 weeks and i dont know how well they actually correct ears over time but I do feel better seeing her ears match again when she has one on.

Don’t waste your money!
It was extremely disappointing and felt like a complete waste of money. I purchased this product for my baby, but unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. The adhesive on the product did not hold well, causing it to come off the next day. Not only did this leave glue residue on my baby's ear and head, but it also raised concerns about the safety and effectiveness of the product.

Corrected my infants protruding ears!
My first child has protruding ears. When my second child was about a month old, his right ear started protruding. I looked into various options to correct protruding ears. Most were expensive and required the baby to wear a visible device on their ears. I read mixed reviews on Amazon for this Otostick. I did some further research. I found a study on this product, that showed that when used for 12 months, most users were satisfied with the degree of correction of the protruding ears. I started using this product on the right ear when my baby was 6 weeks. Another reviewer mentioned that they trimmed the sticky surface area for their baby. I did this for the entire 12 months; it was definitely necessary to trim the product when the baby was so small. I used an alcohol prep pad prior to application. I left the otostick on until it started coming off. This was anywhere from a week to a month. I monitored the skin for redness. The otostick is clear which make monitoring easy. Occasionally, I noticed some redness after the sticker started to come off. I would leave it off for a day or two if there was any redness. I always used adhesive remove to remove the otostick when they started to come off. The left ear started protruding when the baby was approximately 12 weeks and I began using otostick on that side as well. For the right ear, I used otostick for a full 12 months. I used it for about 8 months on the left ear. I am super happy with the results. My baby’s ears do not protrude. I am guess that the earlier in baby’s development that this product is used, the higher likelihood of favorable results. This was a low cost, virtually invisible way to correct ear protrusion. Also of note, I never used the enclosed bonnet. I highly recommend this product. Make sure to use an alcohol prep pad before applying and have medical adhesive remover pads on hand to remove the product when it starts to come off!

not a permanent solution
So, it's a little pricey for what it is, which is basically double sided tape with a cushion. The first time I put these on my daughter (8 months) - all went smoothly. The pieces stuck well and stayed glued for about a week. Great! "With 8 pieces, this should last a month!" I thought it was fantastic. Her ears looked great and you couldn't really tell she was wearing them, even from the back. I did not use the mesh hat that came with it. That just seemed like a choking hazard to me and she pulled at it constantly, anyway. The next 3 sets didn't go nearly as well. She began moving her head anytime I started to play with her ears and the pieces would fold over on themselves. Once that happens, you can no longer use them. You can try but they won't hold for long. The entire circle needs to make contact, if a little piece is folded - it's a goner. She managed to go about three weeks in total with these and they did nothing to help her ears. I refused to pay $30 and try again. If they were cheaper I absolutely would, though. Perhaps I will buy them again in the future should she have a complex and she wants them. Until then, I plan to just let her know how absolutely beautiful she is.

Bien 👍

THEY WORK
Life savor!I had protruding ears as a child ( where were these ??? Ughhh 🥲🥲🥲 ) and got picked on terribly. My daughter has my ears and I refuse to allow the same to happen to her and just wow. I wish I had these when I was a child. With proper prep they’ll stay on for two weeks!!! The results are real. We started them at 5 months and I’ll keep doing it until she’s two!
