Great to Have.
These are amazing to have. I use one in my stage box rack so everything is patched directly into the front. Love it.

Tripp Lite is a brand I trust
Needed a multi-Outlet Rackmount PDU Surge Protector Power Strip for my home lab rack and wanted something I know will be reliable and last. Based on the reviews I choose this Tripp Lite. I didn't need a power strip with individual switches for each piece of equipment, so it was good choice for me. Been in use 8 months now with no issues.

Works great for what I needed
I bought this and their Triplite 1500W UPS. I plugged it into the UPS, and only using it for my 3 switches so they don't occupy the entire UPS. I wouldn't recommend using it plugged into the UPS if are powering servers with the PDU because most likely it will overload the socket on the UPS. I have my servers and router plugged into the UPS directly. Very happy with it.

Excellent product.
Great unit. I'd buy again if I needed another without hesitation.

Purchasing a second one... I just need so much more power...
First time I'm reviewing a product for Amazon and that's because after a year of using it I'm going to be buying a SECOND one. Read: second. As in, the first one is amazing and I love it but my music studio just keeps growing and I need neater and more organized access to power mounted and not on the floor...Some issues I had were I feel the plastic cover over the power switch is ugly and useless and also hard to open. Depth of the unit is also sort an issue, making plugging and unplugging devices sort of tricky if you haven't planned for it and/or have deeper rack gear right next to it. also, the isolated "off-white" outlets make very little if any difference from the black outlets.Another user reported there's game damaged (one of the rack mount ear's was bent for them) and I found one of mine to be bent as well. 2 seconds with pliers fixed that, the email to amazon, the shipment returns, and waiting for another unit to come to me. Perfect service with shipping? Probably not but I don't care.I trust my 2018 Mac mini, 2 dell monitors (screens), 2 powered Yamaha studio monitors (speakers), my Focusrite clarett 8pre, and my prophet REV2 all to run off this thing and have it be a safety net for whatever may come through the power sources. I even charge my phone on the front with an 18watt charger AND charge lithium ion AA batteries for my mouse and keyboard with no qualms at the same time.

Tripp Lite - wonderful products
Tripp Lite consistently produces excellent power management/distribution products. This is no exception. I love the outlets on both sides that allow room for certain wall-warts (based on the configuration of the clunky things). Great that it has outlets on both sides - love that. And the cord is much longer than I expected. I haven't measured it - but looks to be about 6-8 feet. An unexpected bonus.

Good power suppressor.
This surge protector has two groups of outlets: black and white. There is not much difference between the white and black, the only difference that I see is a 170 microhenries(uH) or so electrical shocking coil. Look at the pic, is the "green magnetic Ferrite core" coil. That's it. I did some quick checking with the scope, basically I did not see much difference between the two outlets, it should not be any, right? After all this is a "surge suppressor(spike, power transient, etc)." Inside, the unit looks well built, nothing cheap. Still , I am not sure if 100 bucks is the correct price for this thing. I guess we are paying for the R&D. The cost to build this thing in China? 30 bucks at the most! If we go by that, the profit is 233%!UPDATE: 03/25/19I just added a second ISOBAR12ULTRA power surge suppressor to my bench. This device contains a bunch of Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV), and these MOV perform the voltage suppression. For the modes listed, minimum three MOVs are required: Hot to Neutral, needs one, Neutral to Ground needs one, and Hot to Ground needs one. However, I see about six MOVs. Gas discharge would have been better, but I guess cost more. Also contains chock coils. Accordingly to Trip Like web site it meets the criteria of UL 1449. The AC Suppression Response Time is less than 1 ns. The UL 1449 clamping voltage is 330V and this is the best. Higher than this is not recommended. The AC Suppression Joule rating 3840 Joule, the higher the better.
