It won't perform miracles, but it works. Highly recommended. A lot of thought went into this.
Very well built and thought-out.• The diamond rod has a short groove, for sharpening tips, like fishing hooks and sewing needles.• The flat diamond file is held shut with a magnet.• The magnet can hold the item's weight, but not on smooth surfaces.• The finger grooves are textured, for more traction.• The bottom part has rubber inlays, to improve stability when using the V sharpeners.Below I compare it to Smith's Pocket Pal sharpener.• It is larger, so it does take up more space and weight, but is also easier to hold and operate.• Includes double-sided flat diamond sharpener.• Added features to improve performance (rubber inlays and textured finger grooves).Thoughts:I immediately liked it. I do not mind it being bulkier than the Pocket Pal, since its added features make up for it. It is very well executed and works. Thanks to the flat diamond part, you have more options when sharpening. Note that this is will not replace a "proper" method of sharpening, like a sharpening wheel, nor will it be as effective. Still, you can't take a wheel with you. That's where this comes in. It's small enough to go in a toolbox or pouch, so you can maintain your blades on the go. It won't perform miracles, but it works.About the magnet:It holds the flat diamond file very well. It is also just strong enough to hold the item's weight, but the sides are smooth plastic, so if, for example, you stick it on a fridge door, it will slide down. However, you can stick a small piece of traction tape or rubber on the side. The traction will eliminate slippage, and the item will stay put. I don't see storing it on my fridge, but it would be another welcome feature. They already have the magnet there. And they have rubber inlays on the bottom of it. Another little piece of rubber on the side of the magnet, and there. You've got another awesome feature. In any case, it is an easy fix, if you do want to be able to stick it on vertical ferrous surfaces.Photos:Comparing it with the Pocket Pal and an AA battery.

AccuSharp knife sharpener
4 in 1 tool. Fits in your pocket, very easy to use. I have 3 of them. Sharpening blades can be replaced also.. works on all knives.

My first choice for sharpening
I keep several 4 in 1 sharpeners around: one in a kitchen drawer to keep kitchen knives sharp; one in my project shop; and another by my easy chair to sharpen my pocket knife whenever I want. This is a fast, easy, effective sharpener. The downside is that it removes more metal from the edge than a properly used stone or diamond plate. Sooner or later you will need to restore the taper with a stone.

Worth it for home use
I regretted giving away the first one I had so I ended up buying another. It’s just that good compared to the ikea stuff

Comes in handy when I'm on the road.
Seems to be a well made tool...Already sharpened scissors and 2 knives,,,works better than a couple of electric sharpeners I tried. Good value for the price.

Great kitchen knife sharpener-I recommend it!
Bought this as a backup to my first because it works so well on kitchen knives and has all the various blades for sharpening different tools. And because i had tried to force the round file open on my first AccuSharp 4-in-1 without first lubricating the pivot point on the handle. I don't recommend doing that!

It's handy. 4 segments to use.
It's just right to fit in my extra Leatherman case. It does a good job sharpening kinfes.

A ton of material for a pathetic edge.
I got this to attempt to be lazy with my EDC. I usually sharpen all my blades with a higher priced, more time consuming sharpener. But wanted something I can keep my cheap EDC sharpish quick and easy. What a waste of time and money. First tested it on an old neglected folder. And it takes off a ton of visible material. Took a while to get it to a visible edge, but ran it through the fine end and still unable to cut paper. I then made the mistake of giving this thing the benefit of the doubt and ran my EDC through it. A non neglected blade with about a 3 week old edge on it RUINED. Worse edge that what it started with. Just spent the last hour on a better sharpener to bring it back. I'm not saying it wont bring a completely dull knife to an edge that will be able to gnaw through a piece of paper. It does that great. But what a worthless sharpener.
