Precision tool sharpening at its best
If you’ve ever tried slicing a tomato with a dull knife and ended up with more of a tomato smear than a slice, this KERYE Knife Sharpening Stone Kit is your redemption arc.Right out of the box, it feels like you’ve joined an elite sharpening dojo. You get four grit levels—400/1000 for the heavy lifting, and 3000/8000 for that silky, sushi-chef finish. The stones are hefty, high-quality, and sit snugly in a non-slip wooden base that doesn’t dance around your counter like a caffeinated squirrel. The angle guide is a lifesaver for beginners (or anyone who’s ever tried to “eyeball it” and ended up with a butter knife). The leather strop and flattening stone are thoughtful touches that take your edge from “meh” to “razor-sharp and ready to julienne anything in sight.”Bonus points for the cut-resistant glove—because nothing ruins a sharpening session like a surprise trip to urgent care.It does take a little patience and practice, but once you get the rhythm down, it’s oddly satisfying. Like zen gardening, but with knives.Bottom line: this kit turns your kitchen blades into precision tools and makes you feel like a culinary samurai. Five stars, no question.

Good results
I've been using this for about a year now. I'm probably still pretty bad, technique-wise, at sharpening knives. But all the same the results have been tangible. I use a tomato to test the before and after, and even at my novice level, I can go from a knife that won't even cut the skin to one that effortlessly slides through like a light sabre.I bought this set specifically because I'm a beginner and it seemed pretty comprehensive. I didn't want to spend money on a super nice set of stones in case I decided to bail on this. I may someday get a really nice stone if I get REALLY good at this or start doing it more than a few times a year. But for a normal human, this is the perfect set. It covers all the bases and is affordable. I expect it to last at least a decade.

Not a bad first set.
This is a good product for anyone's first wet stone. That being said the gloves and leather strop are worthless don't try to use them just throw them away. The gloves are woven with a thin plastic wire my knife that hasn't been sharpened three months cut through it like butter and the leather strop is too soft to do anything thing to a steel knife. The sharpening guide depending on where you look in the guide says it is supposed to be 18-20 degrees but when I checked it in multiple different ways it measured to be 5-6 degrees. Though it is meant to be used temporarily to help get a feel of the angle and not to be relied upon. The price is low enough and the quality of everything else is good enough to justify the purchase. I would still recommend it.

Surprising value
I purchased this kit to replace some whetstones I had lost and was genuinely impressed. The packaging is top-notch, reminiscent of a high-end product. It comes in a sleek box that immediately gave a great first impression. The stones themselves are excellent. They do a fantastic job of both removing material and achieving a polished finish. An unexpected surprise was the included sharpening guide that clips onto your knife. I hadn’t planned on using it, but it turned out to be a game-changer. It makes maintaining the perfect angle effortless and allows you to achieve a razor-sharp edge with ease. This kit includes everything you need to get a blade sharp enough to shave with, which, in my opinion, is the ultimate test of sharpness.Overall, I’m very impressed. The quality and performance easily feel like a $70 value, yet it’s priced under $35. Highly recommended!

I have been sharpening knives since I was a kid. While I cannot say I am an expert … I am by no means a novice either. I fall right in the sweet spot of knowing enough to hurt myself. Over the years, I have had to learn and unlearn techniques that were either handed down or learned.I’ve used a basic whetstone for years that had a sharpening side and a polishing side. I have been meaning to try out something more ritual than the quick and easy sharpener. The problem with easy .. or should I say fast sharpeners is that you can end up damaging your blade or not get the proper bevel on it.What I liked about this kit is that it comes (or should have come) with everything you need to put a decent edge on your blade. The 400/1000 stone in this set is soft but useable. You will have to be careful not to bowl it. Because it is so soft it makes keeping a steady angle more difficult but you just have to use gentle smooth motions. I’ve switched to my cheap 200/400-ish cheap tool stone from harbor freight for cutting a bevel when the blade has either been damaged or did not have a proper bevel.I own a nice variety of tactical knives, so I went to work on a few of them. Now to properly sharpen and polish a knife takes time. Roughly an hour a knife is fair depending on your ability. But it does take time and practice to do it properly. So start off on a knife that you aren’t fond of first, if you are more on the novice side. Working on consistency is the key to this process. The pressure of the blade on the stone and the angle are extremely important to a good edge. So practice and soon you will be able to sharpen your favorite knife to a fine edge. The User Manual goes over the basics and I would recommend working through a few free online videos if you need some pointers. There are plenty of them out there.I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, is this product worth the price. In the research I have done in comparing this product with competitors. It is right in the median price range. I found this to be a nice all-in-one kit. Hope this information was helpful. [5 Stars]
