Worked well for a Biology Lab.

This is so easy to use. Calibrate with rodi water. Quality is excellent, it's easy to clean. Very durable, it's speedy to use too. Have no issues with anything sticking.

Good value easy to use easy to read, easy to clean, seems accurate, consistent with aquarium store and specific gravity test. — I do not have a laboratory grade instrument to test against.

This was easy to learn to use and is sturdy. It comes in a case that keeps it safe, clean, and organized. It’s small enough to fit into my hermit crab supplies drawer and doesn’t need any batteries/charging. Just sunlight!

I have not owned an expensive version of these to compare it to but it works fine. I calibrated with RO btw at my LFS and it’s been fine. Sometimes you need to get the light just right to read it but that may be normal considering how they work.

Nice budget refractometer, I use it for my reef tank and it is relatively easy to read.

Don’t expect consistent results with this low budget device. I was not impressed with the graduations, listed in increments of twenty. Most of my readings fall into the 30-40 range. So it’s difficult to focus and count between graduations. I use this device monthly. But I have to calibrate it each time before I use it, unlike my other, more expensive one.

Accurate and easy to use. The refractometer was exactly as described, well-calibrated, and perfect for reef tanks. Highly recommended!
