There is some assembly required, and there are no instructions. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to figure out. Certain pieces are very delicate. There’s not very much variation between the eight different settings. Overall, it seems to work well, and I can add more if it starts to fail later in product usage. It’s frustrating that there aren’t instructions for the remote because it’s unclear whether you hit the timer button before you turn it on or after you turn it on.

These are really nice. I bought these two years ago and just ordered two more boxes. Whats great about these solar lights is they have plastic covers for the light strands where others don't. The other type you have to try and shape to make them look like anything!! Yes, it's a bit tedious putting the plastic covers on each strand but the look is far greater than others. Be warned tho if you're not careful putting on and taking off the plastic rods, they do break on the end, so take your time. They will still fit tho even is the end breaks. Of course, being able to change the way the lights perform is magical, my neighbors loved them. I was happy how long the solar work to light them up.

I really like the Fireworks design of this solar powered decoration. There are many beautiful effects to choose from. The included diffusers are a highlight eliminating the need to straighten and bend very thin wires in hopes they stay put in windy conditions unlike similar products I've seen on amazon. Perhaps a version that has more LEDs much closer together would create a smoother motion (almost neon like) effect. You can even change the speed and direction of the lights which makes it very customizable. However, the plastic this is made from is too brittle and as you can see in the photo several arms/spikes have broken off of the center sphere they twist-lock on to. Also the solar panel has a cupped shape (see closeup photo) to it allowing rain water to accumulate like a bird bath. When that water evaporates, it creates a white film blocking some of the sun's rays making the lighting much less efficient. The lights no longer stay on all night since there is not enough power stored up during the day. A more convex designed solar panel would allow almost all the rain to run off and not pool on top causing these issues. One last thing, the spike that goes into the ground should be metal and not plastic... unless your ground is VERY soft... the spike will snap off quite easily. This is a good product that could be improved and become GREAT! I look forward to buying version 2.0!

I bought these lights because my artificial tree needed some help with lights. I had spots that weren’t as lit as I wanted and these lights are perfect! My tree looks like it is so expensive now because these lights take it to the next level. Love the remote and different modes. Super easy to install and use.

Great looking solar lights at a great price. I love the remote features. The remote, other than turning the light on/off, allows you to change the fireworks motions/patterns, and there are many different patterns to choose from. One remote does work both lights. If the lights are near each other, you can control both lights at one time. The batteries quickly charge, even on cloudy days. I am unsure how long the batteries will keep these lights running at night, since the lights have never stopped working while I have used them. I sit out in my screened in porch for three to four hours in the evening have never stopped working due to batteries going dead. When I go inside, I do turn them off. I do have them placed out in the yard where they get full sun most of the day.
