I originally got one of these around 20 years ago (god my back hurts) and when I saw people talking about them in fidget toy reviews on YouTube, I was like "hey, I remember those" and ran here to see about getting one.So let's start with what I don't like. I only wanted one. Now I have three. Any logical person would have saved two for a toy drive or something or given them to friends etc., but not this aging millennial, no way. I opened all three to see which one I liked the best, then sat in the pile of ripped apart plastic packaging and realized this was all completely unnecessary. I understand it was for ease of manufacturing but I don't like that the pattern is printed on plastic sheeting and is wrapped around the individual pieces. If you are a person who likes to pick at like labels and things, DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION! I would have preferred if the plastic the pieces are made of was marbled or something, but I'm sure this design decision fit in a spreadsheet well.Ok, what I like. It's a fun, quiet thing, to do with my hands. You can uncoil it and just twist it in your hands absentmindedly, recoil it, spend several minutes figuring out how it is supposed to coil back to it's original shape and just do that until you don't like how it feels in your hands. Also it's great because if you pop it apart you can pop it back together. So you can't really break it.The Jr is a great size for desks and stuff, it's very unobtrusive and is small enough to fit in most cubbies, but large enough to not get lost easily. The shape is a little weird for carrying in a pocket, so though it is small and portable, I would say it might be a little weird to take places if you don't have a bag or something. One more reason why pockets are overrated. Also with the way it coils it isn't super rolly, so you have to knock it off stuff and under things to really loose it. Or at least that's what's been true for me.

Tangles are my favorite fidget! Last time I bought some off brand ones they were super stiff and difficult to use so it's definitely worth it to buy from this company.I don't like the ones with varying textures so I appreciate a pack of smooth ones when I find them. I saw the black one and the marbled green one and had to have it- it's nice to have fidget toys that "match" my general aesthetic. The picture I uploaded is of those two because they are my favorites that I take with me on the go.This pack has one tangle less than other packs the company offers at the same price which I wasn't stoked about, but made the compromise just to be able to have these colors.

This kind of fidget toy seems like it would be boring, but it’s great for allowing one’s hands to mindlessly move around in a constant flow. It has nice, smooth movement and the patterns are fun.
