Large Scissor

I ordered the multipack of large springs, which fit knives over 3 inches long (closed). I watched 2 quick YouTube videos to see how best to get the old one out and the new one in. I used a pair of needle-nosed pliers to do the job, and I had my new spring installed in less than 2 minutes. The spring seems to line up just right, and my scissors work perfectly again. My knife is over 30 years old and has a lot of sentimental value, so I was really happy to be able to repair it so easily and affordably.

These springs are the genuine article. Perfect fit.

I needed a spring for both the pliers and scissors, these did the trick.

Economical if you have several Swiss Army Knives in the family. The scissor spring lasted for many years until it broke. You just need pliers to install the new ones. Double check the size you need though. The model I use requires a large spring but I saw different sizes on Amazon.

The scissors for my Huntsman Swiss Army knife are now restored to perfect condition, thanks to finding these replacements here. Punching out the old broken one took a little doing -- and I finally opted for what some of you used: one of my micro screw drivers, and it worked. Anything with a slender end on it will work, though. I guided the new one on, and then pressed it into place by gently using a pair of needle nose pliers. (One side of the insert ring of the blade is smaller than the other, and you force it out the larger side). I needed to put on my glasses. LOL. These are great quality springs, like the originals, so don't worry. I agree with one reviewer who said that a knife/spring guide on this page would have been very cool to see initially, since they had mistakenly gotten the wrong size the first time. As far as removal and installation of your new springs? There are some really neat "how to" videos on Youtube and I must confess that I watched one before doing mine. My S.A. Huntsman is now back in action and I'm thrilled. (Huntsman takes the large size, and my knife is the typical 3.5" long when folded).

Large size spring fit the pliers on my pre-2007 Victorinox Tinker perfectly. Wish I hadn't waited this long to replace. Will save the others in case the pliers or scissors need them again in the futur. A little tricky to install; recommend a pair of pliers to get them in and the a small punch (or a small blunted nail) to properly center them in the hole.
