What are the actual dimensions of this? The dimensions in the product description don't make sense.

Fits a 1.5" hole, covering it an extra .25" which ads up to 1.75" as the description says. OD (Outer diameter) which is the top chrome part is 1.75" The "shaft" itself is .5," so there is wiggle room if you need to offset it or anything.

Is there a gasket or O ring under it?

The gasket that comes with it is to be installed between the nut and bottom of sink or counter. Used this way, the gasket will not seal against water getting around the threads and into the space below. The instructions call for silicone rubber to be used between the plug and the sink/countertop. BTW, the top is NOT metal, but is plastic with a metallic-looking finish.

Trying to find something for my bathroom top sink hole to cover up would this item work its a pretty small hole

I think it could work but if your hole is the size of the hole next to your kitchen. Sink that supposed to have the soap dispenser then it would work but if the hole is bigger or smaller then it wouldn’t because this is exact fit for those holes at the kitchen sinks for the soap dispenser And I’m not sure what a bathroom Top sink is so I don’t know what your looking for I’m assuming you mean the hole for the drain in your bathroom sink but I’m not sure

It’s a Hole Cover

It works for what I need. There are probably better quality ones out there but I was in need of only this and Amazon delivery’s so I got it and installed it. A little silicone on the gaskets so hopefully no water passes by 👍Good enough 😊

Perfect Fit

Had an xtra hole in my stainless steel sink from the separate sprayer after replacing my old kitchen faucet. The new faucet had the sprayer attached. Had no idea what I was going to do with the xtra hole where water could drop down below. I figured Amazon must have something n of course they did! It arrived on time. Works Well, Perfect fit!
