Excellent Series
My nine your old found this series enchanting. She typically veers toward graphic novels, but this book made her fall in love with chapter books.

Will Agatha stop anything sinister from happening?
Murder at the Museum by Lena Jones sees Agatha dealing with going back to school while still waiting patiently for the trial to start to become a Guild member. Will Agatha stop anything sinister from happening?Agatha OddlowAgatha Oddlow has loved her summer vacation and isn't thrilled about returning to school. The biggest reason is that Agatha has a mystery to solve, and she has to become the youngest Gatekeepers' Guild agent. Agatha loved the freedom that summer afforded her to investigate, and now she has to do it around school time. I love Agatha's tenacity to do whatever she wants without minding the consequences. Well, until she realizes that she may actually hurt someone that she loves by her gumption of getting involved in mysteries that she probably shouldn't be getting into yet. I can't wait to see what her next case brings Agatha. The MysteryThe first mystery happened to be a murder at the British Museum. After finding her first mystery since she solved the red slime, Agatha has decided that she needs to investigate despite Liam not thinking it's a great idea. Honestly, it probably isn't, but "No Case Too Odd" for the Oddlow Detective Agency. Agatha realizes that something further must be happening than a simple murder when she discovers much more. I have to say that Agatha had me going with solving the case. Ms. Jones got me real good on the culprit, and here's to hoping Agatha brings back up with her in the future.Five StarsI am giving Murder at the Museum by Lena Jones five stars, and I recommend it. I love an excellent middle-grade mystery, and this one kept me guessing who could be that nefarious to plan this.Thank you for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed this review of Murder at the Museum by Lena Jones.Until the next time,Karen the Baroness

Strong MG series
I’m a big fan of this series. Agatha is exactly the kind of protagonist you want to cheer for. She’s inquisitive, daring and flawed. Her friends are equally as interesting and really add to the overall feel of the story.Murder at the Museum transports readers to the streets of — and tunnels beneath — London. It’s a delightful mystery that may be a little predictable for adults but is on par for intended readers. There’s one more book in the series, and I can’t wait to find out where author Lena Jones takes Agatha next.*Review based on advanced copy

If you like secret societies, you'll love this book
I know I am not the age group intended for this book but I loved it anyway. And my preteen self would have loved it too. Agatha lives in London with her dad and solves crimes with the help of her two best friends and a secret society. She gets into some sticky situations. Thanks to her photographic memory and knack for solving ciphers she keeps London safer for everyone. Can't wait to read book #3.

PHENOMENAL!!!!
I LOVE AGATHA! Wow, what an amazing character. She’s sarcastic, witty, sharp, unique, interesting, & makes for a very entertaining read lol. If you like books with secret Guilds, a few trials/puzzles/ciphers/coding, danger, mystery, & a MC who takes risks..is smart, brave, charming, & basically a super sleuth..these books are for you! Also, just amazingly written characters in general-both the good & evil characters are so well done. I still love her pa, & her best friend Liam & their dynamic. Then a new friend is added to their team, & I love the whole story of how it came to be. Now the THREE of them make a great team, & the dynamics are even better, if possible. We learn even more little tidbits about the secondary mystery I mentioned before with Agatha’s mom, & the main mystery was just as great as the last books as well. You fall fast for Agatha, & you root for her the whole way, & you feel like she’s one of your own friends, & you are right there with her steeped in mystery & danger. SO GOOD! The chapters are longer, but I honestly barely noticed because they are such fast-paced, high stakes, suspenseful, incredible reads. HIGHLY recommend. Another beautiful cover by Alba Filella too.💜
