Fantastic phone, small but very usable. Love it!
Update 25May2021: A great phone is even better. The first software update made it so that the battery icon now displays a visual indicator of charge level or a percentage of charge remaining even while in battery saver mode. Props to Unihertz for implementing that change. ----- I tend to only use a phone for talk and text, and prefer models that are smaller than my iPod Touch, preferably a good bit smaller. Preferably the size of my old LG enV2, if I'm being honest. I used the Unihertz Atom for a month but found the keyboard too small even for my minimal uses. It was excellent as a way to deter excessive, or any, screen use, but even typing a word or two was frustrating. I switched to Jelly 2 about a month ago and the difference is amazing. I am absolutely in love with this little phone! Even with my bad eyes and clumsy fingers, texting is very doable with no more errors than I make on my iPod Touch keyboard, especially with the Swiftkey keyboard app that supports swype typing. I wouldn't want to type long emails on it, but I have no problem texting or typing short emails. Discord, Facebook, Flickr and Chrome are all very functional and easy to use even on such a small screen. Despite the fact that I try to limit my phone use to talk and text, I find myself using it for other functions that I'd normally use over WIFI with my iPod Touch. I appreciate that Jelly 2 has more RAM and storage than Atom, and that it supports a micro SD card in the second SIM slot. I'm using it with a Verizon SIM card that was activated in a Verizon phone and switched to the Jelly 2. So far, no problems with Verizon as my service provider. Although I liked the rubberized grip of Atom, I prefer the removable case that Jelly 2 has, and hope it will be available as a separate purchase and in different colors at some point. I prefer the older Android app drawer style UI, but the Clean Launcher app decently provides that functionality. I'd also like it to have a larger battery, although I know that's a trade off with keeping the device size small. I was getting 3 days between charges with the Atom but can't seem to go more than 2 with Jelly 2, probably because I'm tempted to use it for more than just talk and text. Overnight battery drain is about 1% per hour on standby in battery saver mode. I don't like that you can't see the battery charge level in battery saver mode. The icon at the top doesn't display a visual level or percentage. If you value a small footprint over screen or battery size, Jelly 2 can absolutely function as a main smart phone replacement. If you enjoy watching videos or playing games on your phone or need to do a lot of typing, it may not be the best choice. If you want a tiny, rugged phone to use as a temporary alternate to a larger or more fragile device, or something that will really discourage screen use, go with the Atom. Photos below include a comparison with the Unihertz Atom, iPod Touch and LG enV2.

Exactly what I need, when I need it!
For health reasons, I avoid wireless exposure as much as possible and as a result keep my phone on airplane mode most of the time. At home, I plug it into an Ethernet cord + adapter for downloading audio books, podcasts and music (without using wireless). In the past I have had a pay-as-you go plan from TMobile for $30/month. But for how much data I use (typically 1G or less per month), $30 seemed too much to spend. For the most recent couple years I used a 7" tablet plan (with 1G of data/month) from verizon $8.mo, instead of a phone. I could not get a "tablet plan" with a regular cell phone - Verizon won't do it - and it became annoying to have to use a tablet on the go because the size forced me to carry a lager bag than I wanted. When my tablet broke it was time to find another solution! In comes TELLO + the Unihertz JELLY2!!! This wonderful little phone + a plan of my choosing with Tello has been a perfect solution for me. I wish I had found Tello earlier. My Tello sim is using tmobile towers which have worked every time I need to pull up a map or send a text (I live in the country in NH). I pay for 1G of data and $100 minutes for $6 per month! It is exactly what I need, no more no less. If I ever need more data I can buy another Gig for $5. My usage is pulling up an occasional Map (then turning Airplay mode back on & keeping on location to navigate), texting via Telegram & Google voice, browsing/searching, or a very brief phone call. This little phone works great. The flashlight is helpful. The camera quality is very good. Battery life is great. Swipe text works great. Android apps I use such as Audible, Napster, google maps, Telegram, Google Voice, Protonmail work great. It fits in a pocket and allows me to wear my small purse again that larger phones won't fit in! It is the kind of phone that works for what you need, but also minimizes the addictive effects of larger phones simply by being just a bit too small to escape into. This is great for those who are choosing to back away from cell phone use/addiction. IMO, streaming should be done through a wired connection, at home, with a projector or at least a computer screen... treated more like movie night. At home you can stream without toxic wireless exposure (from WiFi, Bluetooth and 4G/5G) by using an Ethernet connection and a $9 USB C to Ethernet Adapter adapter. In short, this phone will help you emancipate yourself from cell phone slavery and put the cell phone back in its proper place as a tool and nothing more. Enjoy life, slow down, be present for your in person relationships, learn skills, dance, sing, create beauty; invest in your life. Don't allow the cell phone to steal your life from you. Recognize that social media is anti-social and prevents you from investing in your real life. This cute little tool will help you demote your phone back to being just that, a tool. It is a great price AND, you will very quickly save money if you get rid of your costly monthly "unlimited" plan and replace it with paying for only what you need with Tello. I highly recommend this phone! For me, it's perfect!

The Answer to ALL my Problems
OK, maybe not all my problems, but definitely all my phone problems. I was addicted to social media and time-wasting phone games; mostly solitaire. At a certain point, I felt like I was rotting my brain, so I decided to try a flip phone. This was partially awesome, as talking on a phone that was actually designed to be used AS A PHONE is so much more comfortable. But texting sucked, I couldn't really send or receive pictures on it, and it had no easily accessible navigation. So for the two years I had it, I also continued to lug around my old smartphone, like a damned albatross, using my flip phone's hot spot to do all the things I was trying to avoid. Well, one fateful day, I sat on the old smartphone and destroyed the screen, so it was time to try something new. I had initially settled on just getting a new smartphone, so I set about trying to choose one. But what had happened in the intervening 5 years or so since I had purchased the last one? Everything got even bigger. Basically phones are tablets now. I hate it. So I googled "small smartphone", and eventually stumbled upon this thing. At first I was skeptical, but the price was decent and the reviews were good, so I decided to give it a shot. In short, I LOVE THIS PHONE. Not only is it ADORABLE, it's easy to carry around - it even fits in the coin pocket of most jeans, easy to talk on, durable - with included case and screen protector, and it looks and sounds great. Signal quality seems better than my flip phone, which was pretty good. The battery life is way better than I hoped. It easily lasts all day for me with regular usage. The screen looks great and is very accurate and responsive. The 3-tap zoom feature is a nice touch. Typing on it takes a little getting used to, but overall works better than I expected. I still make a lot of errors but it's way faster than texting on the flip phone. It also has swype and autocomplete, so unless you have huge sausage fingers, it's very usable. My only major complaint about the phone is that the GPS is consistently inaccurate, so if you rely on the "robot lady" to navigate for you, it's gonna be a problem. I generally use navigation interactively, keeping my map in "north up" view and following along as I go rather than just taking its direction, so for my purposes it's not that big of a deal if the "robot lady" thinks I'm on a parallel street and starts telling me to make nonsensical turns. But yeah, I'd say this might be a deal-breaker for someone who does rely on that turn-by-turn navigation. Overall, this is a great little phone and it truly has changed my habits. I actually finished a book during my work breaks last month!

Surprisingly useable phone with very good specs
As with many who buy this product, I'm tired of increasing larger phones. A slim 5" phone would be perfect, but they no longer seem to exist in Android. The Jelly 2 is at the other extreme. While the 3" screen was intriguing, the phone is actually quite a bit thicker than most large phones, so it still feels like a lump in your pocket (certainly not "credit-card sized" as advertised). Writing on the keyboard is easier than I would have thought, but still awkward and slow, which is probably the main reason I wouldn't have this be my primary phone. And since my primary messaging via Whatsapp is on my primary phone, there are few real occasions when I could carry only this phone. If they had reshaped this phone to be a 1/4" thick 4.5" screen phone, I would have made it my primary phone. It's a great phone, just hard to fit into my usage patterns. If Whatsapp finally were to implement being able to operate on two different phones (as it now does with phone+computer), it would be a good candidate for a primary phone. Getting back to the phone, its specs are fantastic considering the size: 6 GB RAM, 128 GB memory, dual SIM. It was disappointing (but hardly surprising) that the 2nd SIM is either/or with an SD memory card, but given the generous 128 GB of memory, I can do without the SD card. Photo quality is decent in good light and camera specs are good. In fact, I'd venture to say that there is no stand-alone camera you can buy of this size that would take a better general-purpose photo. NFC is a nice touch (though I haven't used it yet). Battery life is one solid day (but not more). Minor quibble: The home button seems to have some software "protection" behind it so it doesn't operate when the phone is flat (needs to be lifted up) and this feature is glitchy, so sometimes the home button needs to be pressed several times before it finally "wakes up." I'm giving it 5 stars for innovation anyway, since my main issues are related to my usage patterns, and could have been anticipated prior to my purchase.

Wifi is completely unreliable with the latest version of Android 11
UPDATE 2/13/2023: Downgrading from 5 to 1 star. I LOVED my original Jelly 2, but when I had to order a replacement (my fault), the replacement phone would NOT keep a wifi signal and I would have to constantly restart it to get wifi to connect. I even bought a third Jelly 2 hoping it was a one off problem, but the third one has the same wifi problem. Every time I want to do anything, first I have to dick around and fix the wifi connect, restart, etc. I found some stuff on Reddit where others are experiencing this and mentioned it is due to the latest version of Android 11. One guy fixed it by downgrading Android and reflashing his ROM, but that's beyond me. I've also tried to contact Unihertz support for the past week. They DO NOT respond and even when they are online in China (I am reaching out within normal business hours that THEY posted) I get ZERO response. I am bitterly disappointed at the days of wasted time trying to figure this out, configuring new phones, etc. And now I have to shop for an entirely new phone because I can't get a solution for my Jelly 2. Plus I'm probably going to have to eat the cost of at least one of these because I wasted so much time being hopeful that it would resolve itself (and I had surgery in between). So regrettably, DO NOT BUY JELLY 2! So sad! INITIAL REVIEW: I've always loved miniature, full-featured electronics like the iPod Nano and this Jelly 2 is my latest love. I was tired of ever-expanding smart phones and wanted something that wouldn't drag on my shirt pocket or be difficult to wriggle out of my pants pocket when I'm sitting down, but I didn't want to sacrifice too much functionality. After a thorough search and reviewing many reviews, I chose the Jelly 2 from Unihertz. After using it for three weeks, I'm very happy with my decision. About me. I'm in my 50s and my vision isn't perfect. I use my phone for a lot of things including email, texting, monitoring Eufy security cameras at our beach house, controlling our Roomba, watching Youtube videos, playing music while running or biking, navigating in the car, photos, snapchatting with my daughter, video calls using Google Duo with my parents, even keeping score of my volleyball matches and rotation in a Google Sheet (which I've optimized for the small screen). Pros: - Small form factor - 25% lighter than my previous Moto G7 - Fully functional Android phone Cons: - No real cons since I chose intentionally to go with a small phone. It would be unfair to compare the Jelly 2 to a full-size smart phone because that's not what it competes with. You could compare it to other ultra-small smart phones like the iPhone mini and the Palm phone. Compromises: - smaller home screens mean you have fewer app icons at your fingertips. Requires more intentional organization and use of folders. Other than that, I can't think of anything. The Jelly 2 is comfortable to hold - not too small. It came with a screen protector installed and a case that I really like. I might remove the screen protector because it doesn't extend all the way to the edge of the screen and kinda catches on my thumb when I try to swipe left to go "back". However, there is a fixed "back" button that solves this problem and I'm just trying to get into the habit of using it after 10+ years of Moto Gs. Battery life has been "Ok." As with all my phones, it depends on what I'm running. I plug it in every night and sometimes it needs a supplemental charge at night when I'm watching TV, but this is not a Con for the Jelly 2 because all my Moto Gs had similar battery life. Hope you find this review helpful.

LOVE IT!
This is the greatest! It has everything you need and want! The touch is great. It works fast. Compact size somehow fits everything in. The battery usually lasts through the day with casual use, unless you're gaming etc. The fingerprint scanner is good but it doesn't always recognize you finger. It lets you add up to 5 fingers so I added them all with my finger and it works really well (which shows that it found my finger 5 different times... not the greatest scanner...) The options for customization is there but not extensive. It has a whole menu in settings for this phone which is kinda neat. I actually love the thickness because it gives more battery and the rest of the cool features. But mainly because of the size. Being so small it would be very uncomfortable if it were thin. Now it fits perfectly in my hands. All in all, I absolutely love this for everyday casual use. I don't know if it would be good for a full on smartphone but for my use it's great!

So far so good
Received this phone this morning and set it up which was very easy and very quickly. So far it runs very well. I love how small it is how compact it is. With a few adjustments I was able to connect to Android auto in my vehicle and now it works fine. You have to get used to the texting, however, right now I just use voice to text and it works perfectly. I love how small it is and how easy it is to carry it around. Really good product I wish others would put out small smartphones like this in the future. I hope this company does well with sales. Update on this review. I’ve given this update because although everything else seems to run OK the fingerprint sensor just does not work. And the face sensor doesn’t work at all. Other than that, it’s been a good phone.

Small, but not too small
For long time I avoided the MindSuck TimeThief Smartphone, holding on to my Nokia C2 Slider. But as more networks shut down older generation coverage, the C2 couldn't connect any more. The Jelly 2 is a perfect replacement. Very similar size to the C2, fits in the same belt pouch, and sits in my hand the same way. Screen is perfectly clear for Calls, Contacts, SMS, but can show only 12 App icons at a time, so encourages focus on the ones you really need, reducing clutter. You can watch video clips, but I wouldn't want to watch a whole movie. I was worried that maybe the small screen would be hard to read, but it is clear and sharp enough that I don't need to squint or dig out my reading glasses. Typing takes a bit of getting used to, certain amount of "oops, wrong letter", which encourages brevity. Overall it does anything I need a Mobile Phone to do, but I don't find myself being drawn hypnotically to constantly fiddle and stare at the screen in every spare moment, unlike those around me who can't seem to put down their (relatively) huge Fondle-Slabs. Battery life is good, it can be up to 2 days or more between recharge, maybe due to battery size, maybe that I just don't use it compulsively all day long. On the down side, I couldn't find a single Ringtone, Alarm, or Notification sound from the supplied choices that didn't make me cringe. Had to find some different sounds to import and apply to the various functions.

The Perfect Compact Phone: Great Storage & Connectivity, A True Winner Over the Jelly 2E!
I have used the Jelly 2 for several months now (since August), and I am extremely happy with this device. It is a fantastic alternative to the giant smartphones on the market today. ✨ Design, Feel, and Portability The 3-inch screen is what sold me. It is incredibly compact and fits perfectly in the hand. It's not like the giant phones everyone uses today—this size is excellent. It feels great for this price and is easy to clean. Note on Text Size: The writing is small, and the on-screen keyboard is tiny, so this phone is not for everyone. However, you can enlarge the text within messaging apps, and you can always zoom in by pinching the screen when scrolling through web pages. Furthermore, I often use the microphone for voice-to-text when messaging or for voice searches on the internet, which bypasses the keyboard size issue entirely. It features a handy slot for a lanyard, which is great for carrying it securely or swinging it around. ⚙️ Performance and Usability I can download all my essential applications, including my favorite local music player, Musicolet (Google Play stopped this, I guess they think everyone streams, but we don't!). Crucially, this phone handles large memory cards well; I currently use a 256GB SD card specifically for my music files, and it works perfectly for massive local storage. Jelly 2E Comparison: Do not get the Jelly 2E! That phone is supposed to be the "next up" model, but it felt like a major downgrade. The connectivity on the 2E was terrible, but the Jelly 2 is fine; calls are clear, and texting is standard. Wired Audio: It has a 3.5mm headphone jack! This is an awesome, essential feature for wired calls, receiving calls, and enjoying music. Bluetooth: Connects straight away without any issues. 🔋 Battery and Usage The battery life is acceptable. I use the phone frequently and heavily, so I do charge it daily, but it has handled my usage well over these six months. 📸 Camera and Screen Quality The video camera and audio quality are good. I think it's definitively better than the Jellystar Mini video/audio quality, based on my experience. Pictures are decent, but since I don't prioritize the camera part, I don't care that they aren't the absolute best. Watching YouTube is cool, but don't expect a tablet-like experience; this is a phone, and that's all I wanted. ⚠️ Note on App Compatibility The only small issue is with specific app compatibility (like the eBay app) due to the Android version. However, for those who know how to safely find and install APK files from trusted sites like APKMirror, this is easily worked around.

Soddisfatta e stupita
Sconsigliato a chi ama gli smartphone over size....

Great tiny smartphone
I have had this phone for over 2 years, i really love it because of its tiny size. It does all the current huge smartphones do, but in a very compact size. I've noticed that after 2 years the battery performance isnt as good as new (but it's no worse that any other phone in that respect). It's a tiny phone, so not a high usage phone and you need good eyesight for the small screen. I'd buy it again today
