Does this need to be stored at room temperature? Can I keep it in the car?

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. Yes, you can keep NexTemp Ultra in the car. NexTemp thermometers will continue to work if exposed to hot or cold temperatures. But, if the thermometer does show a reading when you take the thermometer out of its packaging, then bring it into a room temperature environment, wait a minute or so for all the dots to turn green again. It will then be ready to use. If none of the dots turn back to green, then please send us a message and we will be more than happy to address your issue.

What should I do if none of the dots are black?

When you take the thermometers out of its packaging all of the dots should be green. When you take your temperature the last dot to turn black is your reading. If none of the dots turn black after you have left the thermometer under the tongue for at least 1 minute, then please send us a message and we will address the issue with you. Thank you!
