ProteusDX - WiFi Door Sensor with Buzzer, and Email/Text Alerts

The sensor and the web-based alerting service seem to work fine. However, in order to function properly the two parts of the sensor (active and passive) must be very close together when the door is closed. If they door has any kind of molding or other finish around it, you may have difficulty mounting the sensor so that the two parts get close enough to give an indication when the door is closed. This is unfortunately the case for me, so I ended up with two sensors that I can’t practically use. But if you have doors that close flush with the adjacent wall, these should work.

This allowed me to connect with existing normally open magnetic switches installed in the house as part of a older alarm system. The switches are buried in woodwork so I wanted to take advantage of them. Simple connection in series and the system works perfectly. Good notification and website.

This is the first review I have ever written. This is a great product and exactly what I needed. Texts AND emails me. Why pay more for an alarm system? the cops will be late anyway. Also, this allows me to check when my operators walk in for work.

Im a security geek for office, home and business and I know all the tricks. This is the most usefull, reliable, and easy to use of them all. The motion or no motion option if a whole new demsion usefull in homecare, alzheimers, aging parents, and endless options. Quality constructed product that does things no other sensors do. It can even call your phone or text based on terms you set. The web interface is beautiful and easy to use. I dumped all other sensors to go the best with proteus. GOOD WORK Proteus.
