AcuRiteIris 01078 Wireless Weather Station with 2 Displays and 5-in-1 Weather Sensor: Temperature and Humidity Gauge, Rainfall, Wind Speed and Wind Direction

This is our third AcuRite weather station. Bought the first one at Costco many years ago. They work well until they don't...they're out in the weather and do take a beating. The monitor is easy to see and displays lots of helpful info. We really missed it when the last one failed.

I like the size of the display unit it is alot bigger than I expected. The display unit has a reset button and a battery back up is one reason I bought this unit. I have owned 2 HD display panels of accurate s and they both failed just after the warranty period from power outages. My original outside weather station works good and its over 3 years old and the new display s paired to it right away. If this display units now lasts I'm very happy with this system UPDATE Sept 2023 the unit still works awesome my outdoor unit is 5 years old and is not displaying rain now which might need to be cleaned but every thing else works awesome and the screen units are alot newer and are not affected so far by power outages like the HD screen models are . Over all great unit mim maintenance

This is an excellent product.First off, really easy to set up. Put the sensor on my back fence (not optimum position, but good), set the sensor and readout panels to the same channel, turn 'em on. Within minutes they are connected and transmitting data.Range does not seem to be a problem, I figure the sensor is about 70 feet from the displays and works fine. I have one display in my kitchen and one in my upstairs bath, both work fine.The displays are better in person than they look here. Very easy to read, colorful without being garish. And the little LCD panel on the bottom constantly streams interesting data about today's weather ranges.Quibbles: I would like a setting to dim the display even further, or turn it off at night. The barometric pressure is a little off, I'd like to be able to train that. And the described way to calibrate the rain gauge sounds so tedious that I just left it at the default.All minor. This is a really good product. Exceeded my expectations, buy one.
