My dental hygienist told me to use a stannous fluoride toothpaste.
It's toothpaste. It has stannous fluoride. It tastes fine. This was the only choice on Amazon at the time. I do not regret the purchase.

Best toothpaste for ‘clean’ feeling
This specific Deep Clean toothpaste leaves my teeth the cleanest, even compared to the newer Prorelease line of products. I have been sent “clean mint” by mistake, note it that it isn’t the same product, and doesn’t work as well in my opinion. Wish this weren’t so hard to find. Pay attention to the price as sometimes it is randomly 2x more expensive than normal.
