Good kit
Good kit. Nice sturdy case. Nothing overly great or bad about it.

Really good for smaller than 5/8" tubing, can do 5/8" but struggles
So I've used this for a couple different sizes, and anything below 5/8" seems to work really well. However one of the main reasons I got this set was to do double flares on 5/8" copper line to make a new line for an air compressor. To be fair to the tool, it was able to do it. However it definitely struggled (as did I) to get a proper flare. It just takes a lot of force. So much so in fact that I had to use a vice and actually ended up bending the rod that turns the tool... Oops... That being said, after that it still works, and can still do flares. I just might be replacing the cross bar with something that is no longer bent. It should have had a lot stronger cross bar to begin with in my opinion, and definitely longer so you have more leverage. The rest of the tool held up great, it was only that one part that didn't do well. So not perfect, but definitely works as it should, but also could be improved for doing 5/8" double flares.

Will likely work if YOU are very careful, so Be Careful
A sturdy set, with the exception of the 1/4” die (smallest). Using the original copper nickel alloy brake line material (brand name Cuprinol), the 1/4” die broke on the second flare. Interestingly, the kit included 2 of the 1/4” dies, so I was able to complete the job. The 1/4” die NEEDS to be machined from a more robust material; it appeared as though it was a ‘die cast’ product with little strength.

Works perfectly every time
I carefully read the reviews in about a dozen of these kits before installing my mini-split A/C and refrigerant lines. I'm so glad I did. This worked perfectly for each cut, flare and fitting. No leaks on the first try every time. It's worth the money not to have to do it over again!

Not bad
Worked fine but the tail to use it in a vice could be longer to get a better grip.

Try a different brand.
Try a different brand. I bought this tool from a local store but am leaving this review to warn others to it's shortcomings. The quality and materials seem fine, but by design, the one clamping wing nut is too close to the die to get the flaring tool onto the frame to flare 1/2" size tube. It will flare other sizes just fine (so long as the wing nuts are tightened enough) but the design prevents the flaring tool from working with 1/2" tube. What good is a quality tool if it doesn't work?

I work at a garage and bought this to hopefully use for the next few years but the joy ended quick. One 3/8 die broke and the other bent. The line gripper handles strip out after a couple normal uses. You have to over tighten just to keep the line from slipping and the die driver threads and head are so loose that it walks the die sideways. I love all my other gear wrench tools but this kit is a complete pile of garbage
