Worked great. But you will need to watch a good YouTube video on installation.

Perfect for my cinema displays
It is a bit tricky to get the stand to fold down but if you persist it happens all of a sudden. The most important part after that is in the instructions if you read them. The middle screw that holds the plate has to be tightened down before you put in the shoulder screws, othrwise, they don’t line up and you go WTF

works great with my LED cinema display 27"
I used this mount to attach my 27 inch LED cinema display to my VESA mount and it works great! super sturdy and great design, the instructions were very clear and the included tools made it really easy. I personally do not see any advantage ordering the OEM apple mount instead of this one. they did a great job with this and it's a great price for what you get!

Works great on Apple 27" Thunderbolt Display
I was initially wary of installation difficulties based on reading other reviews of this product. The first time I used the torx screwdriver to start unmounting the monitor from its stand, a piece of it snapped off inside the head of the screw. Thankfully I was able to simply take it out, and the torx screwdriver still worked after that. But 1 star off for "sturdiness" of that part. You need to do some finagling to figure out which side of the metal flange and the hinge goes up (it's not clear in the instructions). After I had the little metal flange attached to the monitor with all 8 torx screws (which took forever, you have to keep tightening down the line and repeat a bazillion times), I placed the hinge on it, and then I noticed that the side holes didn't line up. Actually, THIS IS NORMAL (and fixed itself once I put the center screw in), but I didn't know that. I made the mistake of freaking out and undoing everything and trying to wedge some paper in before I slowed down and re-read other reviews. Putting in the center screw brought the side holes into alignment. So I made it more difficult than it actually needed to be. Overall installation went fine, no machining misalignment, just a lot of fiddly screw-work that took a while. I was able to then mount my old Apple 27" Thunderbolt Display on a monitor arm (that is only rated to hold monitors up to 19lbs). TBD on whether it holds up over time or not, as I only finished installing it an hour ago.

Excellent conversion bracket to VESA mounting option
This bracelet is solid and does a great job in converting the apple mounting bracket to a standard VESA kit. All metal sturdy design. Assembly was straight forward and instructions included were clear. Saw others had issues with installation but it was not my experience, 15 minutes from start to finish. Niche item and glad it was available for my use case.

Product quality so poor just does not work.
Attempted to use this VESA mount on a 27” Thunderbolt Display. Quick summary: this is a piece of c**p. After removing the stand and attaching the base plate, the instructions are to attach the mount using a provided bolt. The bolt actually provided did not match the instructions and had a philips head instead. It threaded so I continued and instructions are to tighten so side bolt holes are aligned and install the provided bolts. They never align. Managed to force the bolts to partially catch the thread and get the bolts 75% in. Then tried to mount on a standard monitor arm with a VESA plate and bolts. The provided stand bolts work fine on Apple’s native VESA mount on a Cinema Display, but will not even thread and fit in the drilled holes on this VESA mount. Net net the precision and quality of this product make it unusable. No joy. Found an original Apple kit on eBay and hoping this will provide a better experience.

Works well, follow the instructions.
Works great. Very similar in design to the no longer available Apple adapter, not quite as nicely finished but totally functional, the plastic protectors on the edge are a nice touch. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Most negative reviews seem to be due to the installer not closely following the instructions. When you release the stand with the card you have to push it down UNTIL IT CLICKS and locks into place. When this happens you will not be able to pull the stand back out without releasing the lock again. If you do not do this you WILL have serious problems because the VERY strong spring will rotate the attachment point around and into the monitor. Attach the cylindrical part with the screws you removed from the stand. Tighten the small screw that attaches the bracket to the adapter until it is tight before you install the shoulder bolts that go in the ends or they will not line up. The small screw has to be all the way in and tight. This will apply quite a bit of pressure to the back of the monitor, this is normal. You should at least be able to start the shoulder bolts with your fingers. You can look in the hole to judge if the threaded hole is centered. You can make small adjustments to the little screw or twist as needed. Once the hole is centered and the bolts are started (and not cross-threaded, use your fingers first) tighten them all the way. You may need the wrench after the first turn or so because the bolts may have a bit of runout but they will go in. Hope this spares someone a lot of grief.

Works well when its finally installed but installation was a royal PAIN!
This product seems to work well once it's installed but installing this VESA adapter plate was a royal PAIN! The hinge went on well without a hitch. But after that is when it got very difficult. After I screwed on the VESA plate to the hinge (and tightly at that), the side screws did not align properly to screw in. So I pressed down on the plate really hard (so hard that I was afraid I was going to damage the front screen) and screwed the center screw in some more. Using a flashlight, I peeked into the side holes to see if the screw holes were centered in the hole. It took some some time and effort adjusting the plate position and tightening the center screw but I finally got the two side screws installed. I thought it would be easy sailing from there but boy was I mistaken. When I tried to mount the monitor stand arm to the VESA plate, the huge thumb screws would not go into the screw holes. So I tried screwing in the regular Philips screws. No dice with those either. The screws seemed to be bigger than the screw hole. The problem was that the threads in the screw holes did not go all the way to the surface of the plate. They must have tapped the threads from the back side but not tapped the holes all the way through to the front side. So I forced the screws hard into the screw holes in order to get a thread started from the surface of the plate. I did this without attaching the arm. It required so much torque to screw in the screws that I used an electric drill to get the screws all the way through. I turned the screws very slowly so as not the strip the heads or the threads. Once the screws were in all the way, I removed them and then mounted the arm to the plate using a regular hand screwdriver. Obviously, QC was lacking in the production of these plates. Fortunately, I was able to the mount my monitor stand arm to the VESA adapter plate without any mishap although it took more time and effort than I had anticipated. But I guess I really shouldn't complain considering how much this product sells for. I'm just glad it worked out OK in the end.

vesa mount
ALmost as in the description. Needed a few changes. I had to mill the inside cavity in order to a proper mount.

Worked like a charm
The adapter worked like a charm and seems to be really sturdy. Only time will tell if it holds up as well as it should, but there are no indications that it won't - it seems well built and fits perfectly.

Ottima alternativa
