Creator C310 OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner Tool for BMW,Multi-System Code Reader with EPB Engine Oil Reset

I bought the C310+ because it wasn't much more than the C110, and reviews stated it had more features. The unit came with 8.0 firmware, so the first thing I did after taking it out of the box was navigate to the szcreator.com website for an update. I downloaded the UpdateTool and the 11.7 firmware and proceeded to update the unit. Warning, this takes about 20-30 minutes to complete!I headed out to the car, plugged the unit in and off I went. The auto detect was unable to determine what it was plugged into, so I selected Mini, then the R53 for my vehicle. I had an airbag light on from having the battery disconnected for a month for repair, so I worked my way through the menus, found the SRS menu, and read the codes for the airbag. It immediately found the code and I made note of it. I then cleared the airbag codes, and it was fast and no more airbag light after the first try.I then went to check the ECU and Powersteering for codes, but there weren't any, so nothing more to clear. I was able to read the data stream for many parameters, which will be helpful when doing modifications or maintenance to the vehicle.Overall, this unit worked very well for me, and it was a very cost effective purchase. The menus are a little clumsy, so it takes a little bit to work your way through them.

Bought this as an inexpensive scanner to work on both my MINIs - a 2005 S and a 2008 Clubman. Works well so far reading and erasing codes. Turned off a pesky Airbag light that I've had since buying the car 4 months ago. The Clubman is a project, so I'm sure this tool will get a lot more use over the coming months. This is money well spent!

In retrospect, I would have bought a different, more advanced tool, but that is simply because this one did not do what I wanted. The C310+ does A LOT OF THINGS, and it will pay for itself: you can register batteries, reset oil intervals and one thing that is good is that I was able to scan my entire car and it showed just two fault codes; it seems my car is in pretty good condition.However, the one area where this thing is great is this: if you are in the market to buy an used car, and you are bent on one in the list of cars serviced, paying US$56 for this tool so you can plug it into any potential purchase is a minimal investment. It could translate into not buying a clunker that looks good but really is not in good shape, so the money down may save you a ton later.It is a good tool, and, again, will certainly pay for itself shortly. I only wish Creator would install the TRANSPORT MODE CLEAR function, which is what I needed. But if this is in your price range, and you need to do do some basic maintenance in your car, this tool will do.EDIT. After contacting szcreator.com, to ask about TRANSPORT MODE, no reply or update of the software was received. So, don't count on them for much more than selling you the product.EDIT 2. Shenzhen has updated the software to 12.02. Still no TRANSPORT MODE reset function (June 2022).

This product really helped me find codes on my bmw and with a little research found out how to fix the problem which I never would have been able to do without the device nice design

I purchased this scanner to use it on my e39 mainly to reset service light but it does not do it. Also does not do 90% of things advertised. Yea, it did erase engine codes but my $10 scanner can do that.If you order it make sure to use it within first few days so that you are able to return it if it doesn’t work for you

This a very inexpensive must have for a BMW owner. Resets SRS, airbags, and many different function most tools in this price range don't cover. I have heard you can buy for a cheaper price but then all the prices were $8-$10 for shipping. I do all my purchases with Prime so I recieved this sooner and was immediately able to diagnose, clear codes and fix problems. Plenty of videos on how to use, reviews and praise. I don't even use my other scan tool for my BMW Z4 now bacuase this has more info and diagnoises and clears more codes. Probably does way more functions than I know how to perform.

Used on a 2000 BMW Z3, 2.5 liter, required the adaptor for some functions, which worked great. This scanner did do some of what I asked of it, namely diagnosed and cleared the airbag indicator, as well as identifying engine and chassis codes etc. However, it would not reset the "service engine soon" indicator or reset the oil change indicator (there are easy alternatives for the oil however). I personally did the 70K mile maintenance and wanted to clear the service indicator but, while being able to locate the proper place to address it on the scanner, it would only report "information" after scanning. Nothing would change and I could not obtain any info. It's been fully updated as well, which took some time to figure out exactly what to do on the website as the instructions are poor. So, some good, some bad, but worth keeping for the price. Otherwise, seems solidly made and is generally easy to use.

I used this on my 2004 Z3 2.5L because I drove over a landscaping rock, and that popped out the suspension bar link to my driver-side front wheel (it was worn). I replaced the link, but the computer still reported a faulty ABS (ABS light, Break sensor light, and parking break light all were lit yellow). I used this code reader to remove the codes (steering wheel sensor internal), and have not had any problems. As a bonus, I was able to also remove the airbag trouble code which was reported the error of low voltage (ultimately a problem related to the battery dying 3 years ago). So now all my lights are clear and it feels pretty awesome.
