For newborns and infants who cannot yet roll over and sit up, the recommended rule is ABC: Alone (no blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, toys, etc., just the fitted sheet) Back (on their backs, preferably swaddled or in a sleep sack) Crib (or bassinet, playpen, or other purpose-built sleeping place with a firm surface, but NOT in an adult's bed) If you need to elevate an infant's head while sleeping for some reason (nasal congestion, reflux, etc.), use a crib wedge under the mattress. **Q: size?** A: approximate 8 x 10 1 1/2 to 2 inches think Perfect for my mum as she has it on back of her chair and she can lean on it and it is not to puffy. **Q: Is this good as a 1.5 year old as a night pillow?** A: From a personal reflective, I would say yes.
