What a great idea. I came to love it the moment I received it. It is something I have been looking for for a while.It is very handy, keeps nuts and sheels in one place and just make my living room neat, and more beautiful. I am using it for nuts now, but it should be also be perfect for fruits (say cherries).I got the green color one. It really looks great and easily matched other stuffs in my living room. It's not ceramic but plastic. I am not an expert in plastic, but the bowls are obviously made out of high quality, durable material.Although this one comes free fro review, I really love this and would like to buy a couple of more as the holiday gifts.

My mother in law HATED it - but it's really quite delightful. Shiny, pretty, feels durable. Nice shade of red. And they eat a LOT of pistachios! Just goes to show you that sometimes you can't do right by your mother in law.

My pistachio loving BF was delighted to receive this as a gift. It's great quality, easy to clean and the perfect size for one or two people munching. I wanted a small one that was good for one person rather than a big bowl to put out at a gathering. I compared sizes on many different listings and this one was the smallest I could find... it's perfect!

This review is for the red dish.In our household we like pumpkin seeds and the inevitable battle between us who eat the whole seed and those who crack the shell open and only eat the inner seed, putting the empty shell into the bowl. I almost always grab one of the spit shells leaving me to ask why they cannot eat the whole seed instead of creating a disgusting mess.This clever design for a dish is a good solution for those situations such as seeds like sunflower and pumpkin, nuts, or things that have pits like cherries and olives. With that though, there are a few drawbacks to the dish. The dish is made of a type of resin called melamine which is not microwave safe as it will melt, so that leaves out heating up a cheese dip in the dish. I wish this was made of glass or some type of ceramic as I think that would make this a nicer quality dish overall. I also think the oval dish is a bit small at roughly 6 by 5 inches and shallow at slightly less than 1.5 inches deep for the top dish and 1.75 inches of the bottom dish (if you have the top dish placed on top). So for smaller dishes, appetizers or candies this will work fine but an option for a larger size would be a nice addition to this design.This is a cool dish that has some uses but it is a little small and isn’t microwavable which limits it a bit. I am a pistachio fanatic! I eat them just about every day. I also normally kept two bowls out all of the time as well. One for the nuts and the other one to dump the shells. I was the perfect reviewer for this item because since it arrived in the mail I have used it every single day. I love the two in one feature because it does make it easier to dispose of those little shells. It's made of a durable plastic, easy to wipe out and clean and small enough for your lap. Great for kids who love to eat anything that has seeds or shells that have to be disposed because it's light, and unbreakable. Our entire family eats pistachios and I would happily purchase this bowl in a larger size to accommodate the household. I keep this one in the kitchen on the counter and just re-fill it when it empties. But, I have to re-fill it several times a day because everyone in my house is eating them. :)I love this product and highly recommend it to the pistachio lover, cherry lover... well, you get the idea...I received a coupon for a free sample of this product in exchange for my honest feedback. Love this! Great gift idea, just add a bag of pistachios and wah-lah! Birthday or Christmas gift! We use it all the time, always seems to end up on the coffee table. Really cute (got the red one), and very durable so far after months of usage and washings.

I receive many requests for products to review, and I only choose ones that I expect to like and to use. This is one such product. It is extremely sturdy and graceful in design. And it's perfect for exactly what it says--cherries, grapes with seeds, edamame in the shell, pistachios, and any other snack food that leaves you with seeds or shells to discard. It could also be used for chips and dip. The serving size is not huge--it's for an individual snacker, not necessarily a party setting. I am very pleased with such a high quality product.
