Dr. Dean was instrumental in the early days of my wife's and my introduction to the Advent Christian church following our salvation. His son, Dwight, was our pastor who led us to Jesus Christ. Both men have been powerful preachers of God's Word, and both men have the gift of speaking to the similarities of beliefs in common to all evangelicals, as well as speaking to the scriptural truths unique to Adventists. Reading this book brought me back to the pew while I was engaged in listening to one of Dr. David's sermons. Anyone wanting to learn about the Advent Christian church would do well to read this excellent book.
