I think it should fit your Honda shadow with no problems.You do not need any hardware to mount the bags.Just unscrew your seat and size up the middle strap on the bags as it is adjustable lay it down and screw back the seat on top of it .I you want to send me your email I'll send you the picture how I mounted it.

Fit my rebel great...I did have to drill extra holes in the yoke, to make them fit a little higher, and I'd recommend some support brackets with them, but overall they fit and look great!
