I was SO happy and surprised with this. I buy journals for my mother as she loves them. This one was such a find, I kept it for myself and I hate Journaling. But I use it for notes. It is very well stitched, it is genuine leather (has smell and patina). It's also buffalo leather which is a unique plus. The pages are lined and have room for dates. The pages work beautifully with my fountain pens, and don't bleed through. It has 260 pages, in 5 sections. Came with a nice black pen, blue ink, magnetic cap. (The leather pen holster I bought separately fyi). For 17$ it is better quality and more affordable than many knock off companies. I plan on buying several more for Bible notes. I have gotten several compliments on it. Comes in 2 sizes. The cherry on top, it came sealed in a nice designed box, with a quality note from manufacturer, signed by manufacturer by hand. It looks amazing and is made to last. It's not flimsy at all and looks how I'd expect. The way the paper is bound is like, in groups of paper, so it can be a little bulky to write in due to the way the pages want to sit but it gives a great old fashioned feel. I use it to journal what I've done in my current Skyrim playthrough.

I had been looking around Amazon for a nice leather journal to write in. What scared me about other leather books was the mention of mold. Regardless of whether you can send it back or not, getting a journal with mold growing on it is disappointing. Not only this, there were multiple reviews complaining about not getting what you see in the picture. There were also other books that had reviews complaining about the lines being too wide to the point where you can’t write very much on a page. Bad reviews are a huge turnoff, and just when I was about to settle for something sub par, I found this! All the reviews were amazing and I was stunned! No mention of mold, the lines looked pretty good, the leather looked nice, and it was fairly priced. I bought it and am happy to say you get EXACTLY what is advertised, I am so excited about this book and you should be too! It was such a steal, and if you’re thinking of getting it, GET IT, at the time of writing there are only 2 in stock, so stop debating. It also came with a blue pen, magnetic may I add. It looks pretty high quality and the weight is pretty good. Perhaps I haven’t been exposed to many good pens in my time but man was I shocked to get a not crappy pen! So yeah, in conclusion, go with this book, it’s the best thing you’re gonna find, you can tell it was made with the utmost care, and it knocks the competition out of the water. Beautiful leather cover & very well presented. Would be an ideal gift for someone who enjoys journalling. The paper has a lovely weight to it & the provided pen writes lovely.... Although sometimes the lid can be an arse & won't sit on top of the pen when writing. I love the way the paper/books are secured within the leather, it's very artistic & adds to the character of the journal. It feels lovely, when both writing in it & closing it up. Great value for money & it really is the perfect gift for anyone who enjoys writing. I really enjoy writing in mine. There is an almost handmade quality about it. Beautifully done.
