Connolly Hide Care, For Preserving Sealed Leather

This is the Stuff that leather dreams of! I had been using this on a Bible that I've had for over fifty years of continued use, and there is not the first crack in the leather anywhere! the paper and liner are getting tired but the leather is still soft and pliable. I restored a 64 Lincoln with white leather seats back in 1976, and the seats were cracked but not split when I got the car, there are no splits to this day!! I ran out of the first bottle after about thirty five years and had to get another one. I was so glad to finally find this product again, I have a Bible collection of over 50 leather ones now so I'm covered!! This stuff goes a long way, you only need a little about every 4 or 5 months to keep and restore leather for life long use!! Get some, and it smells like great leather should! I have used this product for over 40 years. It continues, in my opinion, to set the standard for leather care in an automobile, a very hostile environment. [I live in Arizona, 'nuff said.]

Great for cleaning and conditioning leather seats

Works wonderfully with little or no leftover residue and no discoloration whatsoever. Wonderful product for preserving, protecting, and nourishing your most high-end leathers. Excellent value !!

Great preservative for my leather holsters and belts.

This appears to be a re labled version of the Olde English Hyde Food for leather car interiors. Have an older vintage cars with tired, very dry and cracking seats. Used Hyde food for years and now found this which appears to be the same product. I liberally put on the seats outside to warm up in the sun. let it sink in and then take off the excess with a clean towel. Has worked to save some now....60 year old seats and keep them usable. Works very well and now can add more frequently.......Good stuff.......

I'll give it 4 only because there may be something else better that I haven't tried. I read about this product on an antique firearm blog. I use it specifically for preserving WWII leather holsters. It is not exactly cheap but it works far better than anything else and a little goes a long way. Some leather cleaning product have harmful additives ... this one doesn't but be sure to follow the directions - changing the applicator cloth frequently. Recently I tried this product on a WWII pilot's A2 leather and it also worked well.

I just put this conditioner on my new 2011 BMW M3 interior (fox red leather). All I can say is it is the best from my perspective. You have to apply it by hand (rubbing it in to all surfaces) as opposed to spay application. I have found that a hot car (summer day) is best to liquify the emulsion and allow it to soak in to the leather. What results is a soft, silky smooth finish. It seems to be water resistant as well which should help to keep the leather clean over time. I have not found a better conditioner when looking on the shelves of retail stores... I don't normally create reviews like this, but I was impressed enough with the product to motivate me to help others to select a product that will work...
