I have a DC59 that I picked up for free because "it pulsed and didn't work" -- it was severely negleced. Replaced the filter and cyclone head and it's been working for a few years.In the last year or two though, the high power mode simply didn't work. It would run for a couple seconds, then the battery status light would flash (orange I think?) and wouldn't power on. It would also get quite warm.Instead of buying a whole new vacuum I decided to buy this cheap replacement knockoff in hopes that the issue was with the battery and not the motor.Success! I went from being able to do 3/4 of my house on low power to being able to do the *entire* house on high power. I forgot how long this thing used to last on a charge.Assuming this battery lasts at least a year and a half, it'll be a win in my book. At this point I'm okay with having to replace it annually.I'll have to find my kill-a-watt to see what a completely discharged battery takes. Usually the capacity ratings on batteries listed on Amazon are very, very optimistic. I'll update if I end up doing this.

Our Dyson is showing its age, but it’s still in great working order. The only problem was the battery. Thankfully this replacement did the trick! Absolutely zero issues with installation- it took all of two minutes. Run time is back to normal on normal setting.

This is the 2nd battery I've had to purchase for my cordless Dyson. I don't know how long this one will last. The price is right though, much cheaper than Dyson's. Also I would have given a higher rating on the installation if it had come with instructions. Nothing maintenance wise is easy on the cordless Dyson.

This was a great replacement battery for my Dyson. It was easy to change out and works great!

Battery worked great until it didn’t. Thought it was battery until I read another review mentioning troubleshooting link on vacuum web site. Fixed my stick! So, battery still working great!

Reasonable price. Exact replacement battery at less than half the price of the name brand.

I've had this for about 2 months, so far so good. And great price.

I've bought several of these batteries. They do not last as long as the original Dyson battery. My original lasted 5++ years.. and I used it nearly every day the max time. Mine is a DC59 so around 20 min. That being said for 25 - 30.00 it's a great deal especially if your vacuum is an older model like mine.
