Rode PodMic will it fit?

It fit my mxl 990 perfect and the rode podmic not the same size, if don't care about some of the mic showing then it's all good

How is this packaged? Is it in a box or folded in a plastic wrap?

It's flat wrapped loose in plastic to where it's not being crushed. There will be two seams where it was bent to become flat but they seem to work out after they are on the mic for a while. If you don't want to wait, you could always experiment by either holding it with tongs in steam from boiling water, or try heating with a hair dryer (not a heat gun) starting with the low temp setting first. Don't know if that would help or possibly ruin it.
