I built a stand for my solar batteries and needed something to protect the terminals from dirt and any contact with the stand which is steel. I lined the area of the stand with rubber matting cut to size, and I found these terminal covers rather quickly on Amazon.These terminal covers fit absolutely perfectly over my 2 AWG cables with compression lug, and then they form a protective covering over the entire terminal and lug connector. They are thick and very pliable making them easy to install and manipulate into place. The red and black coloring is ideal for identifying the positive and negative poles.I bought two packs as I have four batteries. I highly recommend them for automotive, solar, welding equipment, RV's and more. I give them 5 stars for quality, fit and function and great value.

Put the red for positive one on the battery under the rear seat of our 74 Super Beetle. It's good to know that there's less of a chance of the rear seat frame grounding out on the battery.

Shame on me for not measuring and checking my battery. These didn't fit and were returned.

Easy to install and good coverage! I used two set on a classic tractor to prevent the metal cover from causing issues. It worked great and will stay in place better than the zip stripped rubber sheet that was there.
