Simply Outstanding Calabrese Peperoncino
This has to be the best peperoncino chili paste available in the UK. I'd never heard of this stuff until I went to Italy about 3 years ago and had the peperoncino from Sapori Nostrani. You can only get it in the expensive Italian delis around the Turin area, or up in the ski resorts. Since then, I've tried many others but they were all just mashed chilis with a bit of olive oil. I suspect most are fake as they just don't have the genuine flavour, and they're far too spicy, so probably using cheap imorted chilis. I'm pleased to say that this is the "real deal" and has an exceptional flavour, with some bite, but without being too hot.

We love peperoncino and having ran out following our trip to Italy we looked for a replacement and this hit the spot, it’s not as nice as the one we had before but it does the job

Fantastic product, almost as good if not as good as the one I normally lug from Liguria and elsewhere in Italy. Love it with tarts, add to soups you want to spice up, i add it to turkish eggs, or as a dip.
