Don't waste your time with other loom tools. This is a bit more money because it doesn't fail you. I've run thousands of feet with this tool and I haven't had an issue

Ok, so this does work. It sounds weird but you have to practice with it. I was about to throw it in the trash the first time I used it. I use it many times a day and have learned when to use it and when to not. It is very fast when using 3/8 loom and wiring that is not huge. Like maybe 3-4 16 gauge wires. It will fly through it. You need to be clever with how you secure things but then you can literally run and it will zip the loom as fast as you are. That is a small portion of what I need to loom though. It is very hard to loom 1/4. It takes practice and you can get fast. But they really need to make a second one specifically for 1/4" loom. For the price of this honestly that should be included. Also, you need to pick your battles. You don't use this to loom 2 feet. It is quicker to do it by hand. It takes a few seconds to set up the tool and secure it properly. If you are doing 10 foot plus sections then this will save you enough time to pay for the tool easily if you keep practicing.

If this were actually for 1/4 in convoluted conduit it would be great. It’s doesn’t even begin to work. It’s far too large. See picture. I have one this size already. I’m going to return it.

Had a project at work where I needed to look hundreds of cables, each 10 feet long. Having never looked before, it was intimidating. We picked up these tools, and they seemed to work wonderfully, but we're a bit slow. After weeks of this project, and losing the tool, I eventually developed the skill to look much quicker and easier without this tool. Basically, looming is a technique that requires practice, and for small projects, this will help. Eventually though, technique will surpass what these are capable of, and they become a hindrance. I'll also add, they may be more effective for long lengths of cable, but for anything 10' or less, practice seemed to surpass this tool pretty quickly.

This silly little plastic insertion tool was really helpful while installing my new rear backup camera wiring from the rear to the front of the truck. It really sped up the process of preparing the wiring for installation and I would highly recommend investing in this one - it arrived quickly and works very well.

This is not 2 tools! Only one tool, would not have purchased if I knew that.
