Is the wording etched into the tool, or is it just painted on?

Great question! The wording is etched into the metal and painted onto the rubber.

Are these held together with a bolt and nut or s rivet? I know they changed the style of the 1010’s

Just bought a new pair. It’s riveted together. Not good! Too much slop in the rivit that the cutting blades lean in on each other and damage the cutting blade and also jam up.
