I purchased this outlet as my first dive into voice automation with my Google Home Mini. It does not disappoint and is easy to set up.Before buying, be aware that this plug is large in diameter and if your outlets are close to each other on the wall, it will most likely limit your access to the one above or below this. I'm sure the manufacturer will make them smaller as the technology permits, but for the moment, it can be a problem. You may want to use an adapter when plugging this in to keep it away from the additional plug on your outlet. Not a deal breaker for me.First, you'll plug this in and the blue indicator on the side will blink. Next, you'll need to download the Smart Life app listed in the product literature (which is free), Register, and use it to connect to the smart plug. This app is actually easy to use and is nice for remotely turning on your light from your phone, or even setting a timer to have your light come on and off at certain times while you're away or on vacation. The app connects to the plug in about a minute and you're up and running.Use the Google Home app, and select devices, then you'll see the plug in the list of items. Add it to your linked devices and you're up and running. I found it helpful to label my devices by room (Master bedroom light) which makes it easy to group your smart items. You can easily name this plug anything you want, and when you use Home mini to turn it off and on, the assistant will announce the name of the device when it interacts with it. "Ok, turning off the master bedroom light." When the plug is activated/deactivated, you can hear a very small click come from the plug. Again, not a deal breaker, but it is there. It personally doesn't bother me at all.For Amazon fans, there's also Alexa integration in this plug as well and those steps are listed in the product literature. I'm sure it will work just as easily with Amazon devices.Overall, I'm very happy with this smart plug and will buy a few more for around the house. Very easy to set up and use.

These things are awesome! I bought 2 and plan to buy more. I use one to control the lamps on my bedroom (I love being able to just tell Alexa to turn off/on the lights - no more fumbling for switches in the dark!) and one to control my outdoor Halloween decorations which will soon be Christmas decorations. I'm also going to buy another for my Christmas tree. I'm looking forward to just telling Alexa to turn on the tree rather than trying to get to that hard to reach plug. THEY'RE AMAZING!

Doesn't connect. Instructions say I need to look for the blinking indicator light, but there is no indicator light on this unit, except for the bypass button. I tried connecting many times, but each time the unit failed to connect (I plugged it in a few feet from my router, as others have suggested). I may be doing something wrong, but I expected set up to be far easier given all of the five-star reviews. Will probably have to return. Disappointed.

Ordered 6 and wet back and ordered 4 more. Have all inside and outside lights programmed on a timer to come on and go off all at once. I have 5 Christmas trees in the house. I don’t have to plug and unplug any lights. We were gone for a week and it looked like we were home every day! Works great with “Alexa”!

I don't care if it's my Echo or this plug but it rarely works with Alexa. My Hue bulbs work...so does the air purifier. This just never connects unless it's through the app. Headed for garbage.

The media could not be loaded.  This is my third smart plug. Compare with the other two I bought, I really like that it's small and will be able to fit most power outlets without needing too much space. I use it for my red ball diffuser. At night it's convenient just ask Alexa to turn it off. Also I can use the app to turn it off without waking my babies.

Nice plug. ETL certified. Works with Alexa and Google Home. It blocks the adjacent plug. I use one for outside Christmas decorations. Some water on the decorations tripped the circuit breaker on the outdoor outlet that this plug was plugged into. I was sure that it fried the plug, but when I reset the breaker, and plugged this back in, it still worked.

don't waste your money. both won't connect spend over an hour for each one. and wont connect so only work with the button on the side to turn off or on
