Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Signature Round Dutch Oven, 5.5 qt., White

We ordered the Le Creuset simply because it is supposed to be the best... we were disappointed when it arrived in an undamaged box, and found the quality and durability not up to par for the hype or the price.

I finally have the Dutch oven I've always wanted. I bought the 5 1/2 quart in white. 5 1/2 qt. is Le Creuset's most popular size. I'll keep it on my cooktop as it's too beautiful to put away. It arrived a day early and was well packaged with no damage. Le Creuset is very expensive. Including tax, this Dutch oven was almost $400! It's worth every penny and will last forever. I'm going to put it in my will and give it to someone who loves to cook.

So beautiful in white! Le Creuset, please make more pieces in white !

I hesitated because of the cost but then you get what you pay for…everything I have cooked in it has turned out perfectly. My pot roast turned out to be exactly as I wanted. My soups are so much easier to prepare using it.

This is a very versatile casserole dish. We use it for just about every stew, soup, or casserole we do for serving 2 to 4 people. Easy to clean with dish soap or baking soda.
