The product is very well made. It's beautiful in color, detail, and has the perfect size and weight. I have yet to hang it but that won't be a problem as it's designed to easily hang on most walls.It's worth the price for anyone looking for quality wall art.

This decorative shield is exactly as it is described, so it totally met our expectations. No, I take that statement back. This item actually EXCEEDED my expectations. I thought with it being made of resin it would probably look plastic/fake. It doesn't. My husband was wanting a shield to hang near his swords and I knew he would not be using it for anything other than a wall decoration so I just couldn't justify spending a couple of hundred dollars (or more) on a nice looking metal one that could function. Had he planned on carrying it anywhere, I might have felt differently but he himself said there was no sense spending that much on something to just hang on the wall. The metal shields meant more for decoration looked so cheesy, like tin really, I didn't want one of them in our home. Once hung on the wall, this looks very believable making it the perfect compromise of my higher standards and my unwillingness to loosen the grip on my wallet. We are both very happy with this purchase.

It’s cool but not what I thought it would be. It’s a plaque not an actual shield

I read the description of this item and realized it wasn't an actual shield before I bought it. It's a plaster version and was actually a better quality than what I was expecting. It's painted nicely. The picture doesn't show but it's actually thicker than it looks and its flat against the wall. It's also quite heavy, I had to use anchors in my wall to hold it.It looks great between the two real swords I have hanging on my wall. I really enjoy looking at it.

A shield that looks like it's been handed down from generation to generation. You never know it's actually a poly resin piece unless you take it off the wall. I'm very pleased that it doesn't have a contrived "shamrocks and smiling leprechauns" fake quality, but instead provides an authentic, bold Fenian nobility.This has two brackets that were not lined up at the same height when they were set into the poly resin, so I had to make sure my measurements were adjusted to make it hang properly; (nothing that was so difficult that it required any serious carpentry experience) I Highly recommend this classic shield!

Whole thing broke on me! When I tried to hang it… already came cracked straight out the box… jumping through hoops for refund

Design Toscano strikes again with another well made, well detailed product. I purchase all our yard ornaments, statues and decor from this place because with the exception of only one item, they have never failed in producing an amazing item. This shield will hang on our fence in our "Merlin Courtyard" but will bring in during the winter months. However, I found DT item's to very very durable even if left outside during our usual 9 months of Fall/Winter/Spring rain.
