Are alpine rock speaker will not connect with Bluetooth the light will not light up blue ?

We returned our as it had terrible Bluetooth connection I was within 5 feet and it wouldn’t connect. When it finally did connect it would constantly lose connection

Dont know what a onkyo av receiver is but this speaker has normal Bluetooth pairing functionality experienced with smartphones and tablets.
