Will this base work with halogen as well as led?

I have the same question- I still have halogen bulbs, but I need to replace quite a few bases. Peter L. Says they’re interchangeable but I am concerned with the heat generated by halogen lamps and whether or not these bases are robust enough to handle that

Of course it depends on the wattage and voltage of the lights, but assuming you are going with LED 12 volt, a small, cheap, 12 volt transformer will suffice.
