Originally I selected this case as a temporary cover for my Hobonichi Cousin (A5 size planner); I had planned to look for a vintage Hobonichi cover. New plan: I'm keeping this one. The leather is soft. The color is very pretty. The cover itself is well-made, sturdy (I'm specifically thinking of the snap closure), and functional (nice fabric inside and also card slots). The box even had instructions for the most efficient, easiest way to slide the cover onto a planner. It fits beautifully, and allows the planner to lay flat, and it doesn't scrunch the planner cover up (like some slide-on covers do).

Was a gift, so pleased with the wonderful quality! Really is a lovely journal. Would definitely recommend.

Having decided to spend the extra and buy something really worth keeping, after much research - more than I had actually anticipated - I finally opted for this one, in the hope that it would not only look good in meetings, but serve my purpose, with card slots, pen holder, etc. It arrived early and was packaged beautifully, while the immediate and wonderful 'hit' of the full grain leather fragrance is something that I never tire of; the feel was premium, the button-down fastener is secure and I was excited to insert the notebook and see what my latest business purchase would feel like. I wasn't disappointed. I'm a firm believer in, 'you get what you pay for' and while there are plenty of far cheaper alternatives available, the journal cover feels premium, it looks classy, it's very well constructed and it even provides me with additional confidence when attending meetings. In fact, one person has already commented on how beautiful it looked when it made its first appearance on a board room desk. If the sizing and colour work for you and you're in the market for a new, or a replacement premium notebook, look no further, this one is nothing short of stunning!!
