The black rubber tip is simply too big to fit inside the broken base.** A: I'm impressed by all of the positive accounts (I trust they're sincere). First of all, even the smallest phallic-shaped tip is too big to fit inside the base of the broken small bulb (E25). 2nd, the black tip is not firm--it's air-filled, like a rubber balloon. With little pressure it simply collapses. Maybe if I'd turned it all night and used some WD40 (or Viagra), the device would have been hard enough to apply enough pressure to loosen the 3 small bulbs. Still, I can't recommend the product. **Q: I have a very limited space in which to work to remove a bulb. Can you tell me the length of the extractor for a candelabra base?** A: Easiest way is to spread out tip of needlenose plyers just inside bulb base slightly and hold where it is firmly pressed on opposite sides, plyers open pressing outwards, and twist the whole plyer. Small jewelry making (for charms) plyers are short too, for lack of room to work, works on everything , super super easy. Grasping by rim is not.
