AFM Safecoat Almighty Adhesive

In the world of heavy adhesives it seems hard to find ones that have little or no odor and are considered ‘eco-friendly’. This adhesive is almost completely odor free and performs perfectly! Definitely forms a strong bond and works as well as similar products. I had a client who was concerned about off gassing and odors and this really came in handy. It is very tacky, and I suggest using a high quality caulking gun. Be sure to use with gloves— I made the mistake of handling it for a split second without and had to spend a bit of time washing with warm water, but it came off pretty easily. This does take a good 24 hours to fully set.

I have used the adhesive many times and it is a great product. I have ordered two tubes of this and both times have received caulk instead. Will not be buying from this seller again.

Works perfectly. Takes a little time to set but once it does, it’s very strong. It’s also the healthiest product to work with in its field.

Another great product from AFM! We used this to reglue 12x12" marble tiles to the wall behind the woodstove. I was able to work on the project w/o getting reactions. It was too stiff for me to express from the calking gun. I don't know if that was because the tube was older, or its always that stiff...

I am chemically sensitive and this has a toxic smell and doesn't bond as well as eco-bond did. I switched to eco-bond

Having used both the incredibly toxic and odorous liquid nails, and this product I believe that I can say that this one works just as well. I might have to wait a decade or longer to assess longevity, but so far items that I have glued up are still holding 5 years later. It can hold a little bit of weight without slipping on a vertical surface, but after a short time it will hold until it sets. Why only 4 stars? I have to agree with another reviewer that sometimes it can be unusually stiff and difficult to express with the caulking gun. In fact I'd say that perhaps as many as 1/3 the tubes I've bought have this problem. I'm not sure if it's their age, or a bad mix or what. If you can get it out (with some effort) it still works just as good. Most tubes are fine, and even after opening them will still work as much as a year later. So I'm not quite sure what the stiffness problem is all about. Nonetheless, this is all that I use now, and I've used it on tile and wood, and other miscellaneous products.
