Are these true CTO or just various shades of orange?

I don’t know about the color thing but I do know that these are poor quality. Ours faded to white almost immediately. We use them a lot though. I would not recommend these.

Hi, thanks your question. Yes, you can get 4 different shades of gels. There are four different color temperature of orange filter gels: 85 (CTO), 85A (1/2 CTO), 85B (1/4 CTO), 85C (1/8 CTO).

I need 4 sheets of the lightest color temperature here. I do not need any of the darker orange. Can you sell me 4 sheets of just the one color?

Can this be used as faux stained glass on a window?

It could be used for making faux stained glass on a window, BUT the trick is figuring out how to adhere it to the glass. Using glue to adhere the gel film would be very visible and degrade the appearance. A way around it would be to use the kind of black tape that is sold in art material stores. It comes in thin widths. The tape could substitute for the lead channels that are used in traditional stained glass to hold the pieces together. Good luck.
