Light and easy to use - 2 batteries does my 1/4 acre (well maintained) lot with no problems
I wanted to wait after a few uses. I think I've used it about 9-10 times now. So glad we got this. It is really light and makes trimming and edging seem almost fun now. Thinking back to my corded trimmer and always having to manually feed the line because the autofeed never worked right. The autofeed works on this almost flawlessly. I've only had to open the cap with the line twice. Once because I didn't autofeed in time and the line was no longer sticking out then the 2nd time was to swap it out. I just bought the 6 pack of line here on amazon because it was basically the same price. Durability and use. After reading the reviews and how hard it was to snap into place I confirmed it was, but I read some and the materials they use are very durable. I think I read it on their homepage that the plastic used was the same plastic on helmets, so I think it will last a long time. I only have about a 1/4 acre of a yard. The first use was not under easy conditions because it rained a lot and things were getting a little tall. Under normal conditions this thing flies through the jobs. Both batteries easily get me through the front and backyard and edging around the flowerbeds. Sadly we got lazy on our backyard flowerbed and now we have grass/weeds...so I just whack them down for now. I know you can't have the perfect "conditional" yard to cut every time because of rain and growth...so 2 batteries is pushed to the limit then because it does bog down in thicker conditions. Not so much that it stops, but it definitely slows down then picks back up once cut. It is light like everyone says, but I read somewhere here ( some elderly lady) where she crafted/engineered an old shoulder strap to help ease the load even more. I will tell you. I exercise and lift dumbbells 10x this weight, but hardly stopping now and moving...it does get heavy after awhile. So I have slowly been thinking how I can rig a shoulder strap. This will make it even faster. I feel my forearms after basically non-stop use of this. The Batteries seem to hold pretty good constant charge for me. I make sure they're both fully charged before I do any work. The only complaint I have, and it may only be mine...is that the charger itself is REALLY snug when snapping in. Snapping into the tool itself is very easy. I don't think my wife or kids would actually be able to unlock it from the charger as snug as it is right now. It works so well and the snug snapping on the charger is not enough to make me want to deduct a star. I plan to buy the hedger and blower next to have extra batteries and chargers. I think on one of them I'll just buy the tool itself. I think 3 batts and 2 chargers should suffice. If I find any anomalies during the summer I will surely report it here. I use amazon reviews like crazy and trust everyone's positive and negative reviews. So if I read enough...I suppose i'd jump off a bridge with yall. Even if I don't buy from Amazon (oops?) I still normally buy something they may stock and read their reviews. Sometimes I just need something right then lol. Sorry Amazon.

Great, light trimmer for home use
Even though my gas weed eater still works fine after nine years, I needed something lighter for my use. This WORX trimmer fits the bill perfectly. I’ve been using this quiet trimmer for about four months. Because it is so much lighter than my gas model, it is much easier for me (with my reduced lung capacity) to use without having to stop and catch my breath. I was worried about the trimmer line being 0.065 versus the thicker 0.095 line used in the gas trimmer, but that turned out to be a non-issue. The 0.065 line cuts and trims just fine and is less likely to damage the wood or metal fencing. In fact, one of the features I like best is an adjustable edge guard that helps keep you from getting too close to objects. It’s such a simple but ingenious feature that helps prevent objects from getting dinged by the trimmer. Another standout feature is the ease with which I can put a new spool of line in and get back to work. It takes about one minute. With my gas model, re-winding the 0.095 line required me to look at the directions every time so I followed the correct sequence of steps, which usually took about 10-15 frustrating minutes. It was not easy. Finally, I appreciate the fact that the WORX trimmer came with two batteries and a charger. All in all, this WORX trimmer is a great, light trimmer for home use and a good value for the money.

Worx trimmer/edger-Love it now
I've used my Worx Trimmer/edger about 4 times and it has taken me all that time to figure out a few things. First of all the string would break and not feed with the push button. I live on a large corner lot and I wanted to edge my curb of overgrown grass, dirt and creeping charlie. Every time I was progressing and loving it, my string would break, back up to the garage I went and "fixed" it, went back and started again. Same thing happened over and over. I'm sure my neighbors were quite amused with this crazy 70 year old woman who can't use an edger! So I took the string spool out and rewound it(takes about 20 seconds). In some areas the string was wound so tight I had a hard time getting it unwound by hand! Problem solved, works perfectly! I do this with all my spools before inserting them. Also make sure the string goes directly into the feed hole, not under or over the spool or it will not feed string. One thing I'm not sure about is having to step on the head to switch from wacker to edger. This may be an area which could prematurely wear. I'll cross that bridge if and when it happens. So far I love it now. It's lightweight, easy to use(now) and has plenty of power for my needs. I do not try to cut down small trees! Get a commercial one for that! I did buy the 1 hour charger, the one that came with didn't cut it. Took way to long to charge and I bought extra spools.

Powerful, Reliable, and Built Like a True Worx Tool
Worx builds some of the most robust cordless tools out there, hands down, and this weed trimmer/edger is no exception. Right out of the box, it feels well-built, sturdy, and thoughtfully designed. It has enough power to handle regular yard trimming without feeling underpowered, and the fact that it can also be used as an edger makes it even more useful. The 20V battery performs really well on a single charge, especially for normal residential yard work. I was able to get through trimming and edging without constantly worrying about the battery dying halfway through. It is also lightweight enough to use comfortably, but still feels solid enough that it does not come across as cheap or flimsy. Another thing I appreciate is the convenience of not dealing with gas, oil, pull cords, or loud engine noise. Just charge the battery, pop it in, and get to work. For anyone who already likes Worx cordless tools, this trimmer/edger fits right in with the same dependable quality. Overall, this is a great tool for keeping a yard looking clean and maintained. Strong battery life, good build quality, easy handling, and the versatility of trimming and edging make it a solid 5-star purchase.

Light weight trimmer
Light weight and easy to handle. Tiny spools but they do a very good job of edging. NOTICE: The only spools that work on this model are the WA0004. I purchased the WA0010 spools and they will not work even though they look identical. Be aware when you see that the WA0010, WA0004, etc. are compatible because they are not. The 2 batteries are good and stay charged well enough for the price. I have a lot of trimming to do in my yard so I just charge the first one while switching to the second one. Full Disclosure: I shelved my $200 EGO for this one . It was too heavy and it killed my back every time I used it. EGO brand is fine but for older guys or guys with bad backs , it’s just too much.

Underwhelmed
I’m a little underwhelmed with this trimmer. WORX needs to include written instructions for assembly and use, and not just picture instructions. Making the shaft adjust to an angle is ridiculously hard and makes you feel like you’re going to break the tool. The 12” trim path seems smaller than 12”. I think the Black & Decker corded model I intended this trimmer to replace actually does a better job trimming. I do love it being non-corded, although I’m not sure if one of the batteries may be defective. It was fully charged, but only lasted about 20 minutes trimming a well groomed yard without any difficult areas. The second battery seemed to work stronger than the first. I like that this trimmer is quieter than my Black & Decker model. Also, liked no string issues this first use. I not fully satisfied with my purchase, but I guess I’ll have to make the best of it. If it were possible to test a trimmer before purchase, I’m sure I would not have chosen this trimmer.

Light weight and works well
I was very impressed on how well and easy it works and does. The only disadvantage - which I see as an advantage is the batteries are very small in size - meaning they don't last long between charges. But, that also makes them light. The charger is very small and takes many hours to recharge each battery. But, with about ten minutes of usage with each battery I was able to go around the house and two out buildings each 1500 sq. Ft. So it doesn't matter if it takes a long time to recharge. I had a heavy gas powered weed eater. This one is much better because it's light and last long enough to finish the job. Not to mention it's much much easier to start. It does edge pretty well but that takes time and a toll on battery life if you have long paths to do.

PERFECT FOR LIGHT DUTY/WOMEN/ELDERLY.
That being said, Im an elderly woman who was looking for an easy to use trimmer that wouldnt overburden me. This little guy is fantastic. It's lightweight, super easy to use and quiet. I was so enthused I used it all over a half acre yard for about 30 min and still had battery left. The plus is that it comes with a second battery so if you run down the first one, you can change it out in a sec and keep going. Im still using the same initial length of trimmer line, It's very heavy duty for being surprisingly thin. I havent needed to advance it yet so it's lasting a LONG time. Everything about this trimmer screams convenience and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Great trimmer
Have had this trimmer for almost 4 years and love it! Nice and light, don't have to mess around with gas and oil, and just hit the trigger and go. The push button feed works well and is easy to use. It takes me around 20 minutes to trim my yard and one battery does it easily. If it quit today, I replace it with the same one.

Really happy with this purchase
I have a gas weed eater that I always have a problem getting started. I thought at my age I need something simpler so I bought this product. My son put this together with no issues and I proceeded to get busy on the trimming of my yard. It is fairly lightweight and easy to manage. The battery life only lasts 15 to 20 minutes but since it comes with two batteries it's not an issue. I love the button on the handle to release more line. The price point is fantastic and I highly recommend this product
