Initial Impressions are Good!
I opted for the wireless model since I have enough wires already, and I wanted something I could easily switch from PC to PS5 depending on what I was playing. The box is pretty scarce with accessories. You get the headset, detachable mic, USB-C cable for charging/wired connection (THANK YOU), a foam windscreen for the mic, and the USB receiver. I was under the assumption that there would be a pair of cloth ear-pads for the headphones as seen in the wired version, but that is not the case here. More on that later. The build quality of the headset is surprisingly nice. I was expecting it to be more plastic than not, since weight can be an issue for prolonged periods of use. The outside ear cup plates (where the logo is) are metal (possibly aluminum), the surrounding housing is plastic, but it seems to be a high quality plastic, squeezing the ear cups while wearing them do not produce any creaking, or cracking. The headband has a red stitching and is padded very well. I keep my head shaved, and comfort/fit of headbands on some headphones can become annoying over time since I don't have any hair to create a cushion. The ear pads are a memory foam wrapped in pleather and shockingly, they do not make my ears too hot when wearing. I was fully expecting to replace these with the cloth ones, but so far, these are fine. They aren't as cool as cloth ear pads, but I really don't notice them when wearing the headset, which is exactly what should happen. The audio coming from the headset is a little bass rich, but I actually prefer that for the type of games I play. Some music will be a little too "bassy", but it is not unusable by any means, and some may even prefer the tuning out of the box. This default tuning may not be ideal for those looking for an aggressive high-end (think footsteps focus in a competitive FPS) but that is a very specific need that has been addressed by other brands in the same price point. I have not had a chance to really check the mic quality yet, but the few games I've played online seem to hear me okay, meaning, no one complained that the mic was too hot (think Xbox 360 back in 2009 and that one kid who was always screaming in CoD). All advertised features (virtual 7.1, and mic monitoring) are controllable from the headset, meaning you can enable/disable them without the need for the HyperX Software. At this point, I would 100% skip the software, since it is really just another way to control the volume, and mic gain. The adjustments are made to the same values you can change in the Windows control panel. The software does not have any EQ options, noise-canceling, or special presets. Thankfully, this can all be addressed in the future if HyperX decides to via firmware updates paired with an update to the software.

A Reliable and Comfortable Wireless Headset
โI've been extremely impressed with the HyperX Cloud 2 headset. It's a fantastic product, and I especially appreciate its performance when it comes to battery life and charging. โThe battery on this headset is truly solid. I can go for a very long time without needing to charge it, which is perfect for extended gaming sessions or just general use throughout the day. When it does need a charge, it gets a full battery remarkably fast. A huge bonus is that you can continue to use the headset while it's charging without any audio or mic interference, which is a lifesaver. โWhile the sound quality is great on its own, it really shines when you pair it with a spatial audio enhancement like Dolby Atmos. This combination elevates the sound experience, giving you a much more immersive and directional audio experience in games and movies. โOverall, the HyperX Cloud 2 is a reliable, high-quality wireless headset that I would highly recommend, especially for anyone looking for a long-lasting battery and the convenience of being able to use it while it charges.

Does everything it needs to while being comfy.
I recently picked up the HyperX Cloud II headset for my gaming setup and I must say, I'm impressed. The headband and earcups are incredibly comfortable, much more than my previous headset, the Cloud Flight. They're definitely more plush and make it easier for me when playing games for a long time. The earcups are thick and I didn't feel the plastic like some other reviews have mentioned. One thing I want to note is that there is a small amount of static noise when using the Cloud II, barely noticeable though. In terms of sound quality, I found that the Cloud II and the Cloud Alpha (my other headset) have very similar sound profiles. I couldn't notice any major differences between the two. Bass is a little more boomy, not overblown on the Alpha's, so I like how those sound better. I did have a major issue with the DTS:X Spatial Sound feature on both headsets. It was horrible and sounded worse than regular stereo sound. Seriously, it's horrible. Try it out for yourself, it's pretty garbage. Another issue I encountered was when I installed the driver for the Cloud II. It caused a strange issue where only certain sounds were heard through either the left or right earcup. I eventually solved it. By uninstalling the driver. It's working perfectly fine now, but I wouldn't recommend installing the drivers unless absolutely necessary. Overall, the HyperX Cloud II is a great headset with solid sound quality and excellent comfort. It's a close second to the Cloud Alpha in terms of comfort, but still beats out my old Cloud Flight. Even though the whole driver fiasco is unacceptable, just don't install or uninstall it and you'll be fine. after doing that everything else is perfectly fine and I'm enjoying gaming with this headset. I Highly recommend it for gamers looking for a comfortable and (kinda) reliable headset.

YES, YES YOU WANT THESE.
Today my 2nd pair arrived... The picture you see is the 1st pair I owned and why these are not getting a 5 out of 5 but I will 100% tell you to still buy them. Let's play good bad and ugly. -THE GOOD- SOUND - great, these were perfect for the footsteps of fellow tarkov tryhards giving you enough clarity to know if it was left right up down or middle. The base, mid, and highs are all good. If your a gamer the 53mm drivers are more than adequate to rattle your ears. I like the rest of you, want the very best I can get for my dollar and these really perform well. MIC - it's actually not that bad. The noise cancellation does a good enough job that it will miss about 90% of ambient noises in the room. From Rust players making the mistake of thinking I was a YouTube content maker because of the clarity and smooth output that the mic picks up. It's not a 500 dollar mic but it's way better than everything in its price range. COMFORT- Now I'm not telling you to touch grass, but please do so.....BUT for the rest of us having extended periods of playtime we all can agree that ear aches, head aches, hot spots, pinching, and all around suckyness of discomfort around your head will wreck any play session. Having a adult large dome I was limited in what really worked and what I tested, but out of around 7 headsets these are hands down the most comfy for long periods, the faux leather is soft, the band around your head is light and it cups around your ears are soft as can be. Noise suppression from the outside is also great keeping real life from ever being able to let you know it's still there. ๐ BATTERY - Just like a new phone you will have awe aspiring battery life at the start but what about by the end of the life cycle? Still not bad actually. With a full charge it still can put out around 12 hours before needing a charge. Charging still is fast and takes maybe 20 minutes to go from 0 to 100%. If you just plug it in at the end of the night you will never worry about it dying. WIRELESS RANGE - Now obviously this is dependent on how many walls and interference and whatnot, but the cloud II's were able to go at least 6 feet further than the turtle beachs top model with less distortion. I could go anywhere in my house and even 75 feet away outside and still send and receive clearly. -THE BAD- So those plastic pieces of junk holding those red frames in. As you saw in the photos both sides were broken and I know why exactly they failed. For all you with kids, significant others or anytime your keeping an ear out which means one headphone is pulled usually off right? Well the design flaw is when you add just that little bit of flex the plastic housing holding it in eventually is going to snap. Now believe me that I 100% have dropped these countless times, pulled on them, used them, out the set through its paces that any reasonable consumer would. And for what it's worth I'm not surprised these failed after 2.5 years. Can't really be that mad, but something to be aware of. MUTE BUTTON - The button finally failed which was the end result of maybe pressing it a few thousand times. Just quit the other day giving me that last reason to ditch this old pair. - THE UGLY- there is not really I can hate on this thing in the looks dept. Some people want the rgb experience in their face and ears beaming from their headset, I would rather have something where my money goes to better drivers, better noise cancellation and weight reduction...they nailed all that in these. Why did I purchase again? 2.5 years of abuse, great sound, nice mic, wireless, price to my door was $114.00 which is phenomenal at its price. I've got 260 dollar headsets in the box now because I'm sticking with these. Maybe they addressed the plastic retainers in the cloud III but at 164.00 I'm kinda broke ATM and these I know for a fact work just fine. Stop looking, get them. You will not be disappointed.

Superb wireless headphones with a great mic
After trying a bunch of stuff out, I think I've finally found the wireless headset that works for me, and I just wanted to post some thoughts in case it helps anyone else. For some background, I've been looking for a decent set of wireless headphones that I could use while gaming that would still let me get up and walk around since I often need to check on my kids or help my wife with something while I'm gaming, and I still would like to be able to chat with my friends on Discord. I tried the SteelSeries Arctis 7P, but the sound wasn't that great and the clamp was more than what I was looking for in a headset. Enter the Hyperx Cloud II Wireless. I'll go over the pros and cons below: Pros: Extremely comfortable. Wore this while gaming for an entire evening out of the box, and didn't notice any pain due to clamping or anything. It's become even more comfortable after wearing it for a couple of weeks. Battery life is great. Never pushed it to the limit, but it's rated for 30 hours, and it has USB-C charging (should be standard now, but not all headphones have this) The directional audio is actually pretty good for closed back headphones. I play a lot of Call of Duty, and I have no trouble discerning where footsteps were coming from or what direction a Spy Plane was (at least with how accurate CoD spatial audio is). Range is excellent. I was able to walk to my kitchen which is at least 30-40 feet away through 2 walls, and I still was able to chat and hear Discord. Latency is virtually unnoticeable. I don't have a way to test, but most online tests I've found have clocked it in at under 15ms. Mic is better than expected. It's not going to beat a wired USB mic or the Antlion wireless modmic, but it actually sounds pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised because most of the online mic tests I've heard for it sound pretty awful, but my own mic recordings sound good, and my friends on Discord say I sound great. Cons: Does not isolate very well. As I mentioned before, this is actually something I like because I want to be able to hear things in the background like my kids or if my wife asks for something, but if you're looking for a closed-back headset that isolates noise, this isn't it. No Bluetooth. Some headsets offer dual channels or one or the other, but this only works with the provided dongle. Your ears will get a little warm after longer gaming sessions, but that seems to be common with most wireless headsets, and I barely even notice it now.

Big upgrade over Razer Kraken!
I bought this to replace a wireless Razer Kraken that I had really liked. And was surprised when this was an upgrade in just about every way! They feel great on the head, I often forget I'm wearing headphones at all because they're very light. The weight of the Krakens would bother my head and ears after a while, but I have no problem wearing these all day. On that note, the battery is also much better than the Krakens, as even after a few months of heavy use I still only have to charge them every few days. The noise cancelling and audio quality are both fantastic as well. Audio quality was pretty comparable between the HyperX and the Kraken, but noise cancelling was no comparison at all. The HyperX are very good at noise cancelling just from the shape and depth of the ear cups, while the Kraken had almost no cancelling. Finally, the wireless range has been great as I can walk around the entire house and still hear the audio from my PC, while all the basic features of connectivity work great too, and with much less bloatware necessary on your PC than you get with Razer. I rarely do reviews but wanted to do one for the HyperX Cloud IIs just because of how much I've loved them! Just wish there were some more color options for the wireless!

Not Impressed With Durability and Battery Life
After having purchased my pair of these about 2.5 years ago, I can safely say I've been thoroughly disappointed with how these have turned out compared to the nearly 5 star average review this product has. Edit: The battery situation is even worse. I cannot physically unplug the headset from the charging cable, as it will IMMEDIATELY turn off otherwise. No it's not an issue with Bluetooth (no other bluetooth devices even in the room that are on), no it's not an issue with the USB ports (tried every port on my pc, tried the headset on my laptop, nothing changes), no it's not caused by drivers/their crappy software/whatever. None of the "fixes" HyperX will suggest relating to this battery life degradation actually do anything. The battery (or the battery sensors I'm not sure) is just that bad. I will not be buying a HyperX product again. The pros: - Quite comfortable, though after prolonged use it starts to make the tops of my ears hurt. - Good battery life at first. I could go almost 2 days without charging it. The cons: - Absolutely horrid long term battery life. In the past 6-8 months the battery life has dropped from more than a day to less than 9 hours, and it only feels like it's getting worse with each day (and not marginally either). I've seen many people also claiming similar issues after 2-2.5 years as well. - The ear pads are falling apart. The leather-like material started cracking and flaking off about 6 months ago as well. I thoroughly clean the ear pads and band weekly taking care to remove any and all moisture in contact with the material, and I also wipe them down after each use to remove any moisture from contact with my hair/skin. - The audio quality is pretty mediocre for how much these cost. I had to deal with a constant light static whenever no direct audio was playing through the headphones, and the fixes that HyperX suggested (removing proximity to usb3.0 ports for example) didn't do anything. The surround sound was ok, but I ultimately just kept it on stereo because the front and back directions sounded off to me. The lack of any sort of adjustment as well outside of simple on/off for mic monitoring/surround sound is really disappointing.

Great headset!
These work great! I've been using these for over 2 years now, and they are wonderful! Battery life is about 2-3 days of continuous use on a good day! Range for these with the dongle is quite far, I can go upstairs in my house and they still reach great! Mic quality isn't horrible but if you want good mic audio, I suggest an external mic, as this is a flaw with most mics that are built in. These also are quite durable, made of steel and very soft padding.

CHE FANTASTICA SCOPERTA
Aggiornamento : dopo mesi di utilizzo confermo tutto quello che ho scritto qui sotto, sono diventate indispensabili. Hyper, i miei piรน sinceri complimenti! Bella!

Use as my daily
Bought this a while back after being a razer fan boy and getting my heart and wallet broken every year. Haven't had an issue since. Beautiful sound quality, comfortable on my head and still look as good as the day I got them.
